J. S. Bach (1685-1750). Ich ruf zu dir, Herr Jesu Christ BWV 639. (Piano transcription, Ferruccio Busoni) Murray Perahia, piano. Imágenes: Ida, de Pawel Pawlikowski
With pictures from the polish film "Ida", one of the best films I even seen, I remember the moments. This music is from the end of the film, when she is walking back to the monastery. Thank you for making me remember this film and this wonderful music!
Ti ringrazio ancora, Vicent!
Ich ruf zu dir, Herr Jesu Christ - aus Bachs Orgelbüchlein. I've practiced it on the organ in Wildemann in the Harz Mountains 28 years ago. More security, more Hometown, more comfort no person needs to feel. Bach has composed it with 51 other choral preludes within four weeks in prison in Leibzig 1717. Than a better time awaited him.
Johann Sebastian Bach was, is and will be always the "Godfather" of music wich was founded, composed and performed by human beings whether hey might believe in any religion or not. It's the Holy Spirit wich can be touched by each and every person. "Evil" or not. Or whatever!
One of the most wonderful pieces of music Bach ever wrote. But I prefer Alfred Brendel in this. Who plays this music in the film "Ida"? I dont remember. Maybe someone can tell me?
Simplesmente sublime !!💖

Some of Bach's admirers really think that God spoke through Bach's music. Leave the "Holy Spirit " to those people.

pictures are nice ...piano playing a bit blunt....
Listen to Brendel's version
@@censchot Yes you are right, Brendels version is the best!
Polnischer Film "Ida"
Danke auch!...
superb, in parts a bit too quick.
I think the tempo is just right.
I think Brendel's rendition is the perfect speed, not far off from this one though
@@censchot YES !!!!
