    Thanks...I just now..after your video took a hacksaw blade and removed bad connector in less than 2 minutes..no SPECIAL TOOL!

    Instead of lubing those with a petroleum based spray or grease, use silicone spray or grease. Silicone does not attack rubber, like the rubber O-rings in those fittings. Petroleum lube can attack the rubber.

    I eliminated the connectors and put 2 clamps on both hoses going to the heater core.

      I'm doing the same thing right now, the connectors were not clamping to the core pipe.

      Have you had any issues since doing this? I’m gonna do the same just wanna make sure it’s not gonna cost me later down the road lol

      Warning if you straight connect to the heater core fittings. Remember how the first plastic part failed to begin with? The heater core fittings will eventually do the same, but instead of replacing a $10 part in 2 mins you will be replacing the heater core ($300) in about 4 hrs of labor. Put the $10 quick connects back on, if you want it to never happen again get the metal ones

      @@StraightRazWhorThe nipples on the heater core are metal (aluminum). Not sure what you're saying is the risk in attaching the heater hoses directly to them? The original quick-connect plastic fittings failed because of heat and age. That is emiminated if you hose clamp the heater hoses directly onto the metal heater core nipples with hose clamps. I have also seen a video of the metal version of the quick-connectors not sealing and causing a leak. Metal quick-connectors would be great if they do seal. I'd have to see some that are shown not to leak.

      @@jeffro221 you are fortunate to have a car that the engineers didn’t have thier heads up thier assess. All GM vechiles have injected molded plastic heater core inlets.

    Excuse me could u tell me how i could make this work. I have a 04 Chevy trailblazer with a 4.2 it's knocking bad I want to swap it with a 4.8 from a GMC Savanna 3500 Can I use the Brain from the gmc or can I just use my same brain, This will be my first engine swamp

    Do yourself a favor and do away with these quick release fittings altogether. There is no benefit to having them on your vehicle, they will only wear out later. Install standard T's and or clamp hoses directly without quick release fittings.
