Great choice Sue. God bless our dear Dusty. One of the greats taken too soon 💜💜 and yes I agree Dusty is the best part of the song. Her beautiful raspy voice can’t be matched. This song actually re ignited Dusty’s career again. I was so sad they didn’t get a chance to record with her again before her death. Another great collaboration is with Liza Minnelli on the Results album. Check out Loosing My Mind if you haven’t heard it xxxx

.I agree, Peter about the excellent "Results album the PSBs did with Liza Minelli .. I actually recommended it to Sue a while back in my comments to her reaction to "West End Girls" .. And yes, "Losing My Mind" is also my favourite track from it .. It was originally a show tune from the musical "Follies", written by the legendary Stephen Sondheim.

Yes, this is quite a good song, and anything with Dusty in it is OK with me .. Hard to believe that there was ever any conversation that took place in which Dusty Springfield was regarded as "not a big enough name" .. Current record contract or not, she's always been a legend .. So I'm glad she got to grab a late-career piece of musical success with this cool little number !
I completely agree with you, Wayne. How could they even utter the words "not a big enough name". She is an absolute icon! She made that song for me. Everything she touched, she made better 🤗❤️

Speaking of Dusty Springfield. Our blonde angel performed two songs at the Carpenters 55th Anniversary Celebration. Something In Your Eyes and Yesterday Once More. Dusty sang Something when Karen died. Tori is in “Homage Mode” for her rendition. I recorded the performance on my iPhone in 4K. So if you can do this, watch the resolution settings! It’s 7 minutes for both songs as they follow each other. The sound is not perfect but not too bad considering. Is this something you can do?
So, I met Tori, Bruce and a whole bunch of new friends. Oh Tori’s dad, Joe too! It was amazing. Then on Saturday, the last day after dinner; RICHARD showed up! So the Wizard came to Dorothy! Take a look at the thumbnail. Don’t know if you can include that in your description or info or however. 🤷🏻♂️ I can send the pic separately in Messenger if that helps. Apparently the secret was out to a few as early as that Monday! There’s a video up of Sally Olson and Ned Mills meeting with RC at his car garage and RC played piano. Sally and Ned do the Legacy Show in Las Vegas and one night in Downey. Tori did not know! She is now still in L.A. shooting a video for Something To Believe In. Wow! So, tell me if you can do this set. I had to shoot vertical to try to minimize heads in my shot. I was in the 3rd row.

@@playitagainsue yes it was crazy good. As much as 80% didn’t know Tori and I heard the audible gasp when she started. I didn’t know most of the others and felt the same. It was one helluva night. Saturday was the kicker when Richard showed up. Only a select few knew the secret. That was the icing on the cake. Tori got swept to the back room with other dignitaries to have some quieter time with RC. The photo is on my thumbnail. He stayed available for a long time, signing and posing. Did I get a picture or autograph, too shy to ask. I did get one with Tori! I’m not totally a fool. She’s as nice as you can imagine. Met her dad too (another Joe) and he was also very nice. She stayed behind and shot a music video for Something To Believe In. So stay tuned on that. Is the format ok to work with?
