Will be opened for the public on May 27, 2022. You will need a virtual queue to enter when it first opens. I promise you guys that the ride is 10000 times better in person. I tried my best to capture as much as possible while keeping the camera stable. I hope you guys can visit this attraction soon to experience the amazing galaxy. Thank you Disney for always bringing the magic to us.
This family-thrill attraction features the first ever reverse-launch on a Disney coaster and is one of the largest fully-enclosed coasters in the world! A new innovation from Walt Disney Imagineering-this coaster rotates 360 degrees so you can focus on the action!
I think in this case no video will match experiencing the actual ride. I don't think anyone will capture it better then this wonderful camerawork. Hope I can ride it soon.
I was thinking the same thing. It's just too dark of a ride to pick up the experience. It does seem fun tho.
Yes! it was hard to hold the camera and i only got 1 chance to capture everything. I promise the ride in person is 10000 times better and wonderful
You are correct. Got to preview it today, and there is no way to get any idea of what this ride really feels like by watching any of these POV videos! I have never been on any rollercoaster that felt like this ride does. And for any one wondering about motion sickness, we had several members of our party who very worried and they all were able to ride 4 times in a row no problem! 👍
Not buying it! Plus what idiot thought this ride belongs in EPCOT??
@@joannab5584 Yes I totally agree with you. No camera can replace our human eyes and the vibes we feel.
I did not expect it to be THAT LONG. I thought it'll be a quick cash grab but no! they really knocked it out of the park. It's insane
Yes! A lot of things happened during that 3-4 mins ride
Has anyone been on this ride??? iOS or fun???
I watched dozens of POVs of this ride.
I think this is the best one I've seen.
Good job!😉
Thank you Jeff. I used Sony A7SIII + G master len FE 16-35 mm F2.8 GM and set the ISO in the medium range based on my previous experiences with Haunted Mansion, Frozen and Pirate of the Caribbean attractions. I wished I had enough memory on my card to shoot it at 4k. Hopefully I can go back again soon to make a better one since I knew what will happen during the ride.
This is what Space Mountain wanted to be like and should really look like. Much more immersive and better visuals. 🌌🚀 👏 👏 👏
I totally agree. I think I would never ride Space Mountain again after riding this 😂
Remember, Space Mountain was built January 15, 1975. There is an almost 50 year gap.
Space Mountain paved the way for this to even be thought of, and exist.
@@cloane85 and I'm glad they did it. I wonder though if they will update Space Mountain or just replace it especially now that this superior ride exists
@@gissneric it deserves an update I think. Why not they updated Pirates for example many many many times. It's worth it
@@cloane85 It depends on what Space Mountain location you’re talking about. For instance, the Space Mountain at Disneyland in California is still surprisingly good. Sure, an upgraded Space Mountain to improve the visual effects would be even better.
That final projection tunnel is great. Just 1 simple effect but probably like 8 projectors to make that. Looks fantastic. Love that you unload in a station that looks more like Epcot.
Yes! It will be opened for everyone this weekend
Definitely an upgraded Space Mountain style roller coaster
So it seems like it’s a different song played every ride,I’ve watched a couple videos and heard 4 or 5 different songs.that’s actually pretty cool 😎
There are 6. I got everybody wants to rule the world and this one. Loved it.
Yes you are correct
One way or another is also a good one , I wouldn't mind riding to that or this one 'Conga'
@@BowtiesRcoool I like Everybody Wants to Rule the World
As French speaker from Paris, France. Now Im really jealous that they got this new attraction. Looks so fun
I Guess I'm gonna stick with CrushCoaster
Seriously!?!?!? Don't they have hyperspace mountain in disneyland Paris? It didn't ring a bell? Because me as a disneyland California visitor it rang many bells 🔔
@@cmunoz810 We do have Hyperspace Mountain Star War version. The reason some people dont like it's because Star Wars immersion doesn't match with the exterior (Jules Vernes vesion from Earth to the Moon)
Envie de crever la
I am always jealous of your Disneyland Paris' parade. It look like you guys have better Mickey Minnie costume than the US parks
@@TheHappierLife Hehe You mean our New Parade song for the 30th Anniversary "Ready for the Ride" ? Dream and Shine Brighter ? 😁
True. Our Mickey Mouse have better costumes. Keep changing throughout the seasons (Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter) ¯\_( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)_/¯
This music fits so well with the ride
I had the song September and it was epic too!
This ride looks so fun
I would wish to ride over and over again
Wow, this looks amazing! I didn't want to spoil myself before riding it in September but I couldn't contain msyelf anymore lol. But I think the real experience will still blow this video out of the water though so that's okay. For now it looks really cool and amazing, as if Space Mountain would be build with the technology available today and that's an awesome concept
Yeah Space Mountain is always rough for me. This new ride is smooth and more friendly to the kids
This looks insane even through the camera I was immersed
Yes! The ride is amazing. I was speechless for few minutes after it :)
This is the best video of the ride I have seen.
Thank you! I am sure there will be more higher quality videos come out later this summer when everyone can visit… but just get this trail for now :)
So basically hyperspace mountain with a GOTG overlay okay 👌
No it isn’t. You have to go on it to really get the experience.
@@ginnyvann580 he means it in terms of the ride. They are basically the same in a way.
Mixed with Rock n’ Rollercoaster!
I love it so cool
Yes! Disney never disappointed us
It looks like it’s in such a big room!!
Wow 😍
Amazing ride right?
This looks amazing !!!
Yes 10000x more amazing in person
Quieroooooo ir 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thanks - that saved me a few $1000 now that I don't have to go to WDW to see an EPCOT version of Space Mountain.
It’s a lot more than Space Mountain.
What I think Disney should do for these more recent IP drops in EPCOT is instead of dedicating individual pavilions or areas to IP, they should integrate them into each existing pavilion. Each IP drop would act as an example of Disney products or pop culture and its interpretation of that area of science and technology for that pavilion and the role it has played in advancing culture’s awareness of that field. For example. EPCOT currently has a space pavilion (mission space) which acts as a truly EPCOT example of displaying and allowing others to experience the technologies and emerging ideas of space travel. In the case of Guardians of the Galaxy, this could act as an IP example for the space pavilion, displaying pop culture’s interpretation of space technology in the movie and educating the viewer about how the ideas brought about in IP could help to inspire future technologies and generations. A short preshow film could describe this and tie the IP in and then the ride could just be a Guardians of the Galaxy ride with no need for further tie-ins to EPCOT. This model would allow Disney to happily integrate IP for every Future World Pavilion while also retaining EPCOT’s ideas of technology, edutainment, the future, and inspiration for all. World of Motion could become home to test track and IP such as Star Wars and all the examples of possible new transportation technologies that could emerge in future decades from those movies. As mentioned previously, the Space Pavilion could be home to mission space and the guardians of the galaxy. They could reconstruct the queue building behind the current space pavilion and redivert the launch tunnel to the roller coaster. The Universe of Energy could be reinstated and then become home to an IP example such as Fantasia where you discuss examples of energy seen in scenes such as bald mountain. The Living Seas could reinstate the educational dark ride and then tie in IP such as 20,000 leagues or Nemo or the little mermaid and discuss the diversity and fragility of the world’s oceans. The land could be home to living with the land, soarin’, and IP like Pocahontas or Moana. The Imagination pavilion could be home to journey into imagination and IP like alice and wonderland where you could discuss the impact of Disney animation and the whimsical creativity and imagination found in the movie on the liberal arts. Even the health pavilion could be re-instated and integrate IP like inside out where you discuss the impact of mental health and balancing emotions. Pleace feel free to let me know what you think about this idea. I really think it would benefit the Disney visitor and Disney in regards to EPCOT and IP.
Since I'm pretty sure I won't have an opportunity to ride this until, uh, ever, may as well sneak a peak at what I'll be missing out on. Looks fun.
We never know! Like 10 years ago I never thought I have a chance to go to Disney parks in US but here I am today. Life will change my friend
Great footage!! What camera are you using?
I used Sony A7SIII + G master len FE 16-35 mm F2.8 GM. Cell phone and Gopro won't give you highlight images in this low light environment though
Mission Breakout vs Cosmic Rewind
Oh no at at the beginning I see Bob chapek. Just kidding
Was this for a media event or passholder previews???
This was the media event but I believe pass holder previews have already started or they start soon
Looks very cool but Something about Listening to Gloria Estefan while traveling through space seems odd to me
… have you seen the movie lol
@@guitarboy1234 nope and no desire to, but at least that explains it. Thanks
Amazing quality. What did you film this on?
I have Sony A7SIII + G master len FE 16-35 mm F2.8 GM
@@TheHappierLife how did you keep hold of the camera? Was the ride intense enough that you needed a strap or something extra?
I tried to hold my camera with both hands. Only gopro can be strapped but it is not a good equipment in this setting
What camera did you use during the ride? Great in low light!
I used Sony A7SIII + G master len FE 16-35 mm F2.8 GM. I ran out of memory. It could be better if i shoot it at 4 K
@@TheHappierLife thank you!
@@TheHappierLife what kind of strap did you use with it if you used one?
@@ThatArnoldLife i just used both hand to hold the camera. Luckily my hands are stable. Bringing a tripod into Disney can be a problem. I don’t know what paperwork you have to fill out. I just wanted to get through their security scan quickly:) My tip is keep your back straight and sit back. Then ur image will be stable. And you need to adjust the ISO of the camera as well to match the lighting. Disney dark rides are tricky. Sometime they dim the lights down.
What an awesome looking ride. Our next trip will be in September I can't wait to ride it. Is it too dark to film?
Yes it was really dark. You won't get quality footage with your phone. You need a professional camera to get enough lighting and highlight the senses
I own the sony ax53 4k camcorder, will that work? Or are you not sure?
Are you allowed to film the ride anyway?
I noticed the guy in the pre show said no cameras.
@@dannygrau2983 I believe it should be okey. You just have to adjust the ISO match with the environment. Too low ISO will be too dark like cell phone and too high ISO will make the images break down. And i think it is depend on the cast member. During my tour they didn't say anything and let everyone took photos + record videos
The screens don’t look as immersive as universals, did they look cheap or did it feel or look real? Based on the video I feel as though it would seem like space mountain with a different theme
Thank you for your question. You won't realize they are screens at all during the ride. The camera added extra lightings for the video. That is why we can see "something" that we don't suppose to see. Plus there are so much going on during the ride. You will get distract by many up coming events during a short period. Trust me the ride is 10000 times better in person. I can only deliver around 50-60% of it through this video.
It's a nice ride but with years of hype... I expected so much more. Seems like the ride changed from what customers were told to expect. When did the cars individually spin to the sides? Now what's going to happen to Space Mountain since this is the improved version. It's Rockin rollercoaster meets Space Mountain.
I think it’s more about you experiencing it yourself than seeing it through a screen. You aren’t able to tell anything really because it’s so dark, many people have mentioned the controlled spins.
Well this is the Epcot condition…. Just because gotg is out now you’re going to stop riding spaceship earth? Disney is constantly trying to keep everything “level” in terms of technology and innovation but I like the aesthetic of the old rides idc that they are outdated
I’m just putting this out there for anyway reading this comment. I have ridden this ride and the video doesn’t do it justice. I feel like if you haven’t ridden it don’t talk out of your butt until you do. I can’t stand for people to always have something slightly negative to say about something they don’t know anything about! 😒
Watch the video with full brightness and look closely, you can see the twisting
@@BgChef I’m on the fence about riding. I’m a chicken on a roller coaster. I love space mountain and have done Rock n rollercoaster though it’s a little intense for me. Comparing intensity of the ride itself (drops, spins, etc) how is it? I’m hoping it’s one where closing my eyes can help if I feel overwhelmed. Thoughts?
Hello, is it okay if i use this video on my CZcams Channel? I'll give you credits and send my video link to you.
It doesn’t go upside down, does it?
No, it’s a controlled spinning coaster with a reverse launch tho
Conga
Does it change songs like the tower in Disneyland?
Yes, I think there are five different song it can pick.
There are 6 different songs.
How fast does it go
I’m not entirely sure but a couple mph under rock and roller coaster
55
A couple animatronics would make this ride amazing. Can't believe they didn't budget for that....
It doesn’t surprise me that they didn’t do it because Disney these days keeps cutting budgets on their projects. Look what Universal did with Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure. This ride looks lacking by comparison.
@@josephbrown9685 I mean it’s easier to build a ride that is primarily outside and a heck of a lot cheaper, this allows the ride to have less overall downtime hopefully
This is such I cool ride but I don’t think it should be in Epcot, either Disney world or Disney land, mostly Disney land because avengers campus, but they already have mission breakout so also Disney world
I think due to guests distribution between parks. There are so many rides and guests are coming to magic kingdom already. I hope they add more rides at Animal kingdom
@@TheHappierLife yeah good point
@@bradyhansgaming3476 at the end of the day, it is business and we all need that dollar to pay for bills :)
@@TheHappierLife agreed!

So it’s just a guardians of the galaxy themed space mountain?😔 seems like a let down
It’s more than Space Mountain. You have to go on it to really experience it. Although this is the best video I have seen of the ride it still doesn’t do it Justice.
why this music for the ride ? it's such a shame to use this music, i can be in the ride with this music
Songs like these from the 80’s are a staple of the Guardians of the Galaxy films on which this ride is based.
@@bb8394 yeah but it doesn't fit to the actual ride, clearly the first time i watch it was without audio and i was thinking of an epic soundtrack, then audio turn on and i just alt+f4 the video
So, ride through the dark with CGI video, end. Doesn't look any more exciting to me than Space Mountain. In fact, I would probably prefer Space Mountain, especially considering I have no interested in superhero nonsense. Sad Disney can't make a ride anymore that's not tied to one of their crappy movies.
It’s cool but im not feeling the music lol
sorry! too much wind :P
There are 6 different songs.
This is it? This is what we had to wait for so long? A rollercoaster in the dark with screens? Amazing .... And is it me or has this longest indoor rollercoaster in the world quite a short ride time? What a disappointment... again.
sorry to hear that...may be it can be totally difference in person visit though
It's probably the speed of the ride. The previosly longest indoor coaster was 4 minutes long but not as fast.
It's hard to capture any dark indoor coaster on camera (the mummy, spaceship earth, etc) but this ride looks like a lot of black and screens. It looks cheap, it doesn't have much character, and looks underwhelming
It’s a space travel ride ffs 🤦♂️ 😂
You couldn’t be more wrong. It’s the best ride in all of WDW. It’s Space Mountain with rotating cars.
your comment is literally contradicting yourself. you basically said it's hard to capture cause it's dark. well it will definitely look disappointing cause you can't see shit cause it's dark. not very bright aren't you 😅
@@gissneric 😂 I guess he/she hates anything dark.
What do you expect from space theme roller coaster
If it was a new universal ride there would be animatronics
Nah if this was Universal this would be a Screen Ride on 720p screens.
Since when does universal use animatronics anymore 😂 (jimmy fallon, fast and furious, transformers…)
A whole lot of hype and then boom it’s a dud.
Ride looks great, but the music sucks!
This looks terrible. We already have space mountain… Also the guardians theme makes no sense for a roller coaster
Ok???? Then dont ride it
you'd be wrong..best ride in all of WDW
I agree, the guardians stuff is very poorly done. It would have been better if it was just the stars.
@@8bitnullnvoid762 then go to Disneyland or Magic Kingdom and ride space mountain. Stop complaining. You haven’t even ridden it.
It’s space mountain with LCD Screens that they stole from Favreau’s Mandalorian backgrounds. Jesus Christ these imagineers are getting lazy. Keep trying to hype this up, guys…. In the end you know they added the 80’s soundtrack because the ride itself would be space mountain without it.
Could you do better? Don't be so critical until you have experienced it yourself or better still, don't ride it if it's to "lazy" for you
@@zarajenkins6948 I don’t work for the mouse, nor do I lick its boot heels. If I did work for the mouse, hell yes, I could have done better. And the funniest part about this, deep down inside you know you could have done a better job too!
It's a roller coaster, what did you expect while going 45 miles an hour
@@davidbilu1166 easier said than done.
@@zarajenkins6948 It’s a nonsense argument. Most people couldn’t have designed a better ride because they aren’t ride designers. Criticism shouldn’t require personal skills because almost nothing would ever be open to criticism.
The intelligence factor of Guests today must be in the toilet.
This is crap and I can't imagine any intelligent middle-age people thinking otherwise.
Targeting the youth crowd will finish the last bit of Disney Family Atmosphere, and soon there will be just another Amusement Park to go on thrill rides and get drunk.
It doesn’t that good at all. Pretty lazy. It just space mountain with Guardians of the Galaxy and screens. Universal is way better with Harris and Velocicoaster. But the stupid Disney Adults and foreign tourists will like it unfortunately.
Don't ride it then....but here you are commenting lol
@@zarajenkins6948 with years of hype Disney gave they acted like this would be something new and exciting with technological advancements but recently the company has been lacking greatly. They’ve been going down hill.
This ride story line is better than hagrid's
Why are you triggered if Disney adults and tourists likes it anyways? everyone is different. If you love Universal rides more then good for you but let people enjoy what they like and not trashing a ride just cause you prefer other parks or rides. so stupid.😂
