I appreciate you documenting this. I remember this hotel fondly because it held the annual anime convention Anime USA from 2012 - 2019 (it then moved back to Hyatt Regency Crystal City, VA in 2022). It was a humble-sized hotel venue with great indoor and outdoor spots for cosplay photography. A lot memories of this place!
i was in there before it got demolished i was there with dc fire and ems when they were doing drills there i remember seeing a person in the lobby that wasn’t associated with DCFEMS
Where was this video taken FROM? Midair, close to the demolition, ... how? I love the huge stuffed bear on the balcony, not perturbed a bit by what is going on.
Berg is still out there. I missed a couple of their demolitions last month because I was busy filming other demos, and I am sure they were working on several that had escaped my attention entirely.

I remember staying at this hotel back in 2009. I'm surprised they're not imploding the structure.

The high shots were taken from the roof of a nearby building.
What will be replacing this building? Could it have been repurposed rather than demolished?
