Live, 4K video performed by the early music ensemble Voices of Music, from the award winning virtuoso concerto program, December, 2018.
The pastorale from Corelli's Christmas Concerto was so popular that everyone wrote one, including Telemann. Telemann's version is for a solo instrument, not Corelli's trio sonata texture, but Telemann uses a similar drone ostinato in the sounding bass with some tinsel in the violins.

Phenomenal performance from all. Absolutely beautiful sixth flute sound as well, the bottom Ds were so rich and full. I wonder how this would sound on a voice flute with half the number of strings?
Thank you. We love the sound of the voice flute, and it would sound very warm in this piece, but we preferred the more "silvery" sound of the 6th flute for this.

What is the meaning of the term “sixth flute”?
It's a recorder which lowest note is a sixth above the alto recorder: this means its lowest note is a D (slightly higher than a soprano, which is in C). There were third flutes, fourth flutes too. The most common lesser known recorder size is the voice flute: the 6th flute is one octave higher than the voice flute. (similar in key as the flute and the piccolo)
