- You have the power to turn any situation around. Everything happens for a reason - Thank God my friends cancelled last minute, because otherwise I wouldn't have had these experiences and met all these new people. Being alone in New York gave me a sense of freedom and adventure. I had the whole day to do whatever I want - I didn't have to rely on anyone, could choose exactly where to go, what to do and see.
After our Sunday morning class, I took the train and subway downtown to SoHo, and had breakfast at a vegan cafe called The Butcher's Daughter, I then wandered around in the rain taking in the sights of lower Manhattan - walking into different shops, talking to strangers and capturing photos.
