  • Are you flying into #LAX ? Do you want to visit a lounge in the Tom Bradley
    International Terminal in Los Angeles? This video is for you. There is a little known tunnel system that connects terminals 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and the international terminal at LAX. The walk is ridiculous, so I had to share it. If you're traveling between terminals at LAX, this is your video.

    Love it. I’ve done that walk before when Priority Pass gave us a food credit at PF Changs.
    Thinking of doing this same walk from the Amex Centurion lounge to United. Although not sure if I can get in past security at Tom Bradley terminal if my airline departs from Terminal 7.

      Thanks for watching and commenting. I can’t speak for LAX specifically, but it depends on the airport if they’ll let you through security or not. O’Hare will not let someone through T5 security if they’re not flying out of that terminal, but when I was in Miami, I was let through security at the AA terminal to visit centurion when I was flying United. For my LAX visit I was connecting

      @@TheLoungeLizardAir Appreciate the info and the time lapse video is fantastic.
      I would prob have to check in at T7, walk to Tom Bradley (0.83 miles!), lounge, and then walk back to T7. Worth it? Totally!

    I have a flight from Terminal 6 this week and I want to finally check out The Centurion Lounge at TBIT. So, no interterminal tram yet. Well, if I can check in at TBIT, then it’s worth it. I’d only have a long walk one way not round trip from Terminal 6.

      I checked out the much vaunted, brand new Centurian at T3 London Heathrow last month, hardly an inspiring event and I left after less than 15 minutes.
      I guess everyone does as there was barely another traveller using it.
      The main area looks like a school canteen with rows of shiny, white tables and chairs under bright lighting. (Or a expressway service station.)
      The few staff stand around in twos & threes chatting and barely notice or bother with the very few lounge users much less talk to them.
      The food choices are 'limited' and rather uninviting - I say this kindly.
      There is another club room type area but this has an eerie, unnerving vibe despite the comfortable looking soft seating and dimmed lighting. Far from relaxing, more stress inducing.
      Compared to the 5 star Emirates Airline lounge this Centurian is 2 star MAX!
      I moved out and headed to my ususl EK lounge. Heaven!

    Holy crap! First thanks for your time recording this. Yes, I would spend the time walking that distance from a lounge after eating and drinking my butt off in the lounge🤣

    Wow! Your commitment to delivering the best possible content is unparalleled. I’m out of breath just watching! No, I would not make that walk. TGI Fridays would have to do in this case. Or a Chili’s Too.

    How far do you think is T5 from TBIT? I’m flying JetBlue T5 next month but wanna have dinner at the Centurion Lounge before flying.

    I'd take it for sure. When I fly from Oz to the US the first thing I do is hop up to the lounge for a shower and some food and drink. You need it after 14 hours on an aircraft. Great tour. I'll have a crack at it in a couple of months. I have just under 3 hours between my arrival and a T7 departure. I'll see if I can make it in 20 minutes! Thanks for the great post. Keep it up.

  • @BobTaile

    There is also wide, spacious tunnels heavily used by airport staff, airline crews and goods transfer porters - passengers can use them but 99.99% don't know of them.
    They are utilitarian - concrete walls and floors, no fancy adornments - and criss cross under the runways. Way faster than your long and winding posh route: and much more comfortable, faster and cleaner than the lurching, dirty buses that stop start their endless journeys around innumerable pickup and drop-off points in never ending and ever worsening, lead filled, toxic, stress inducing traffic jams.
    Just identify the unmarked doors at each terminal and you're on your way - quickly and easily.
    If only Elon's Boring Company could get permissions and contracts to do this under the whole of LA - and most of the coastal routes of California.

    Is there any other way besides walk to go to Tom Bradley int’l airport from term 7?

    • @TheLoungeLizardAir
      @TheLoungeLizardAir  Před 2 lety

      It depends on which side of the airport you are. The side with 7, I only know of the walkway. There is a shuttle bus on the other side of the airport

  • @roachtoasties
    @roachtoasties Před 2 lety +1

    It's not really a secret. The tunnels have existed for decades, and no, I wouldn't walk that distance and back again to go to any airport lounge, unless they're passing out $1,000 to visitors. That said, there's inside security connections being built from the north end of Bradley, to connect to the still being remodeled Delta terminal, and beyond. Once done, you'll be able to document one of the longest walks in airport terminal history, going from United terminals, to as far as you can go to the northside terminals. To make your walk even longer, visit the new Bradley West terminal, along the way.
