The legendary Italian violinist Niccolo Paganini was playing a difficult piece of music before a large audience. Suddenly one string on his violin snapped, yet he continued to play, improvising beautifully. Even if the Armenians were playing on One string instrument, they would do it beautifully.
A magnificent interpretation. Khachatryan brings a Romantic grace to everything he touches.

Wonderful playing in this Stravinsky, Sergey Khachatryan! Also the orchestra is phenomenal.
Sergey is always worth listening to - he does not give routine performances, but brings himself to the hall 100%. The intensity of his playing reminds me of Gidon Kremer's. At times, his playing can be a revelation. Superb talent, and a true artist far from a sellout.
