  • Finding Wildlife in the 3rd Largest Metropolitan area in North America might be hard to imagine, however all the photos and Videos were taken within 75 km of the CN Tower. Mostly in the west end where I live. PLease enjoy this collection from the Spring of 2024 and get outside and Explore, you never know what you will find!

I don't know you but I am so deeply happy that someone else cares to really pay attention to all the nature in this city. I wonder how many hours you spent getting this footage. This is very inspiring. I'm always seeing things right in the middle of the city's east end arroud Danforth and Greenwood -- hawks, turkey vultures and woodpeckers, quiet troops of skunks, a possum, the very unusual rabbit and, of course, our tubby prankster pals the raccoons, who seem convinced that, as long as they master the art of freezing and and strategic creeping we won't notice that big ball-shaped overstuffed-anteater silouette. So many people miss hawks landing on streetlights, because they wouldn't think to look. There is so much here.

I Couldn't Agree More. While I do Live in the West end and most of this was captured in Halton, (Usually on my way home from work) I do know there is an incredible amount of green space right in toronto and all you need to do is spend some time looking for it. Thanks for the Kind Words and yes this did take a fair amount of time and there is lots of footage that was dark or to shaky to use (600 mm lens moves alot even on a tripod) Cheers!
