Most of these are worth their weight in gold for how much easier they make life for the teacher, how fun they make learning for the students, and how must they help them understand the lessons. Please check out the links below for all of my must have items for homeschooling preschool and tot school.

When my own son was in first grade, he was selected for reading support services. This great reading technique has assisted a lot in bettering the reading abilities of my young man although he`s just on grade level and also his development certainly blown away his reading coach. I wish the trainer had made use of this program at school. Get this guide on KidslearnReading4.blogspot.com

I recently discovered that my kids (4 & 6) love dominoes.
I taught them how to play (match the numbers/colors and I only help them count, giving them their points when they score by multiples of 5). They've been surprisingly good at playing the correct dominoes in the correct places to score and actually beat me by a lot!
So now I keep a set of dominoes in our home classroom so that we can play, count and learn.

3 years old is great age to learn colors, letters, counting fingers,
Take a walk and stop at a stop sign to look point to letters.
U dont have to school at home!
U can recognize letters at the park. Looking at signs, u can do coloring sheets. Counting trees on a walk, flowers anything.
Homeschool doesn't always have to be at home.
      Read to your kids everyday.
Cooking class , make lunch let them make own sandwiches, homemade pizza, let them help you cook.
      Math & cooking in one.

If you go with a laser printer, it costs more upfront but if you do more than a couple hundred pages a year you end up saving money with the ink (especially if you look for a good Black Friday deal or something on the printer.
I was initially hesitant when I got rid of a perfectly good printer in order to go with a laser printer, but I did the math and figured I'd end up saving money. And lo and behold in a year I recouped my costs and now I'm saving money. And if you print more often than I do, Well, then you'll save even more money and recoup your costs even faster. plus the printing quality went up slightly which was a nice bonus.
Also, tip for making your laminator last longer. Occasionally get a piece of plain white cardstock that you are not laminating and run it through (it kind of helps clean it and reduces the burning smell (

I homeschool my 10 yr old, my 9 yr old and my 5 yr old (Layla as well). It’s the BEST decision that I’ve ever made. My oldest now excel in reading and writing. My 10 yr old reads high school level books. My 9 yr old isn’t quite that advanced, but is at a much higher reading level that her grade. They are both behind in math though. I did not realize this until I pulled them from public school. We are working hard to get caught up. We are going to do a year round school schedule. We also utilize many of the items that you listed. It’s awesome that you are sharing these tips for parents new to homeschooling. 👍🏻

Why do 2 year Olds need to do school? Is it because of pressure or trying to prove your kid is like the others who go to preschool? Not trying to be mean. They are little for a few years. Kids don't need years of preschool before kindergarten. Yes, teach her. Don't make her do " school " at age 2. She only has a few years before she needs to be doing schoolwork. Even with homeschooling.....2 is way too early.

I don't have a laminator but I do put things in page protectors and use dry erase markers on them to do something similar. I'd like to get a laminator at some point though. I don't have a classroom so I don't have a white board on the wall but I do have a small dry erase board that I get out and write on all the time.

I had to stop the video at a little past 1 minute in to say thank you for saying if you notice that your child is learning and growing that you’re doing it right! I haven’t started official homeschool but we are doing tot school and she’s almost can count to 15 and knows maybe about 15 letters now and even though I’ve taught her that much I’ve felt like I still wasn’t good at homeschooling and doing it wrong but she is learning! So I’m doing something right im still scared and nervous for future grade levels cuz the school that I went to wasn’t really good at teaching and so I have to teach myself as I teach her😨

Good job very informative. One thing I may want to caution you on in terms of those puzzle cards from target. If you look at some of those puzzle pieces to put together the pieces are the same for each card or each puzzle so there isn’t necessarily a guarantee that I the child is actually understanding how they come together so because the shape is all the same for letter a and letter l, a kid might pick a and then put the picture piece for L connected to it ...those are the only things that I had issues with those puzzles and ended up returning them all because they were all like that ...they might be different now but just FYI make sure you double check that

Very good point! I have noticed the same thing. However, I am always with my child helping them to make sure they realize if they have gotten a correct match or not. But, I agree they are not the best quality puzzle.

Just a little tip, instead of using the small dry erase markers for the worksheets, use permanent marker. You can even get the really fine tip permanent marker for easier writing 😊 the permanent marker keeps it from smearing and making a mess like a dry erase does. Then, when done, use a dry erase markers over it, wipe it off, and voila, permanent marker is now gone 😊

Hi Brittany! I would love to hear you share your experience about being homeschooled. Or if you could send a link with a video that already talks about that. Not everyone in my family is in agreement with me homeschooling but I would love to hear your experience especially since you said you did it all the way until you got to college. That would mean a lot. My husband and I have already agreed to homeschool our daughter who is 1 and 1/2 yrs old.

I will try to get one up soon, so stay tuned. Also, I hope your family comes around to the idea. Is there anything in particular holding them back from being all in?

I’ve just found your channel. I am not a home school mum but with corona virus I’m unlikely to send my children back to school until September (I am in the UK). I decided I can’t just have ‘play days’ until then so I have decided to set a little school up - mine are 14, 4,2 and 1. This has been so helpful x

I am not American or Canadian, so homeschooling is something new to us from Europe. Not, that I have not heard of one. I am just curious do mom's who do homeschooling follow some online curriculum or they choose and pick up ideas from the internet? I mean is there some government approved curriculum that is made by teacher's, psychologists, pedagogs, and educators to follow? Something with credentials especially developed for toddlers of age 2 and 3? I also work at home with my two years old, but it's usually inspiration from internet, sorting, coloring, reading, animals, shapes. I would like to know if there's something else besides for example the Montessori method, maybe I could give check out and see what would a specialist be working with such a young child.
