My dad was an army provost marshall stationed in Garmisch. my parents thought it was very cute that I was learning to speak German until friends clued them in on what I was saying. I suspect that word probably was used by folks born in1920s and 30s but has simply fallen out of use. I was 3 in 1957 and learned the word from a fifty year old woman

Dunst: "All the German castles look a little Disney like." Disney took Neuschwanstein as an example for their castles, not the other way around! Dunst acts as the American tourist who says: In the States we have the same, but larger and better. European castle architects should visit Disney theme parks in the States, to learn how to design castles. Acting as Geman, Kirsten Dunst looks fake, yes a little Disney like.

    It's Neu-SCHWAN-stein literally meaning The New-SWAN-rock.
However, it's a pain to try and teach someone that. When my cousin came to visit, she wanted to see that castle so we did, and as soon as she asked about the name I was like: Here we go) So I said: repeat after me:
    - Neu.
    - Neu.
    (so far so good)
    - Schwan.
(and here I've noticed that our little German Culture 101 attracted attention of the locals, and they were expecting exactly the same as I was, so she goes SCHWEIN
which made me cringe!) then I went on to explaining to her SCHWEIN means PIG / SWINE in German whereas SCHWAN is a swan. This whole thing reminds me of Snatch:
    - Frankie as Mutti: It was an easy mistake to make, since there was a subtle difference in the spelling (c)

"Scheißkopf" does exist and is used in Germany, just not the way Dunst used it. As the poster below correctly explained, she meant shithead. In German it actually means "shitty head" although it is likely that we'd also prefer the adjective. You can connect any noun to "Scheiß-" and by doing so express that it sucks or pisses you off. For example if you're driving on a street that has a bunch of potholes and it pisses you off to the extent of cursing it, you can say "Was für eine Scheißstraße", meaning "What a shitty street". "Shitstreet" would also make sense, but I don't think I've heard that one from any English native speaker yet.

well it probably wasn't really. I mean for example "Scheißkopf" doesn't work in German. Yes it is made up of the word "Scheiß(e)" which means sh*t and "Kopf", which means head (exeption! Totenkopf isn't a death head as many Americans interpret it; it means skull) but it sounds like something a child made up in Kindergarten (btw a nother German word ^^).
