I like what Reggie's saying about a possible medical insurance policy towards college athletes. Seems like a solid idea.
Zachary Archambault Yeah but i doubt the snakes at NCAA won't even let up on a few dollars.
Zachary Archambault I agree! Needs to be some kind of pension program too. X amount of dollars post grad for so many years and 100% health insurance coverage for 10 years. Or something.
at least worker's comp
The reason the term "student athlete" exists was to avoid playing for football players medical bills.
Terram Lucida Tela Concilium they can afford to pay for them
When I think of Bush I will always think of his USC days first. Him and Vince Young were two of the most hyped up college players of all time.
El Bad Hombre more than Manziel and Tebow?
I think Bush was more hyped than them 2 with them there was a lot of hype but also doubt with Bush everyone thought He'd be the real deal
El good Hombre Agreed. He was supposed to be the next Barry Sanders.
That Rose Bowl was the greatest football game I've ever seen. that Qb sneak on 4th down, whew.
Kardashian curse 😂
NFL CAREER:
5,490 Rushing Yards
36 TDS
3598 Receiving Yards
18 TDS
Of course he never lived up to the "Expectations" but at his peak he was the best RB/WR in the League.
9,088 Yards Out of the backfield
54 TDS?
1 SuperBowl
1 All Pro?
That's a great career!
Th_iii _nk nice i agree on this !!
Reggie Bush was never the best RB in the NFL, ever. He was rarely the best RB on his team.
Who said he was? I posted his NFL career numbers.... You woudn't take those??????????
Compared to the numbers put up by guys in his era? Peterson, Lynch, Tomlinson, MJD... His numbers don't really hold up to his contemporaries as an entirety.
Who compared him to them?
Best RB in college football history
Cliff Paul wish that would've translated into the NFL. Feel like he never lived up to the hype.
Cliff Paul Probably the best most of us has seen but I can see why
Cliff Paul wrong, he got wiped from college football history. He doesn't exist to the NCAA
I disagree. Earl Campbell or Hershel Walker.
+Connor Leahy Gtfoh clown.
5:15 when Reggie tells his best player
Zage13
thank you
Thx!
You are a Saint
Thank you
Daamn Homie... In College You Were The Maaaan Homie
SayySooFlyy got a super bowl ring...
Allen Arroyo lmao didn't even do anything that year
yeah, he , and Leinart were like celebrities...it was amazing .....that was an incredible era..... its a shame, Leinart, he and Young didn't really move on to have long , successful careers .... I heard Leinart and Sanchez just liked that celebrity stuff and didn't really put the work in.
Ulysses Bobadilla stop hating
Girl I gotta go I wish I could stay, but i'll be home for the holidays
Dude was solid for the Saints in their system & had a couple good years with the dolphins. Also, a 1,000 yard season with the Lions. Won a Super Bowl & collected a lot of money as a pro.. not a bad career lol
What do you remember most about Reggie Bush's time at USC?
The Fresno State Game
game against NYU
Colin Cowherd everything. He's probably the reason 99% of the kids they have go there.
how shocking he asked Reggie about dating white girls
Colin Cowherd Most exciting player ive ever seen(And ima UT fan)

Never a truer statement
Marcus Lattimore never got a dime for being great in college and his last carry was in college.
Anivar Gallegos exactly and people was getting mad at MaCaffrey & Fournette for skipping a meaningless bowl game
Anivar Gallegos uh actually he did so there goes that
Jeff Dunan lol what?
Anivar Gallegos stipends and the free education. Also not to mention the well over million dollar insurance claim he got when he was injured.
Anivar Gallegos Do your research Playboy. He bought $30,000 insurance when he was a College sophomore. So once we retired from the Niners he received sub $5million cash in injury insurance. Plus the 49ers he received $500,000 being on the team
Great interview. Direct questions. Thanks Colin and Reggie.
He looks like Antonio Browns older brother
emmanuel dukes lmaoo
emmanuel dukes L
emmanuel dukes have u never seen Reggie bush wtf ?
Antonio White
he had one healthy season in Miami and killed it and that's his issue his health. He was decent in NO
Paul Z ii
Drew Brees makes decent receivers great. How's Graham doing in Seattle for example...sproles decent in philly...but brees turns average into great and if he ever gets great...god help the other teams in the nfl.
+Razzle Dazzle you mean like Brandon cooks cthu how many did they win together and brees still not better than Brady nice try riggie drew will even tell you that
He arguably had his best season in 2013 in Detroit. The few years he was healthy he was really good and showed he could be an every down back.
Seems like a good guy. not saying i know him from watching this but seems like a good guy.
A really good, humble and kind guy
Facts
I had more yards than Reggie bush this season 🤗🤗🤗
JEFFREY 😂😂💀
in the nfl or pop warner?
bush ran for -1 yards. We all had more rushing yards than reggie....
I miss Reggie on the saints... Really hope he retires with us
It would be hilarious if we brought Reggie on the team for a game next Sunday like we did Deuce in the 2009 season.
The Hit, he got blew up
wtf he drinking or what kind of vitamins he taking. this guy stills look 21
That’s genetics
Genetics and no drugs no alcohol and eating right, fitness
all athletes look young at 31..lol most people do
I love to hear behind the scenes football stories.
I filmed a Pepsi football commercial with Reggie, he was so pumped about talking Track and Field, he damn near wanted to race, I was coaching college track at the time. Cool and humble guy.
I hate the dig on paying college players. they deserve it they generate too much money for these universities
Kemet Trill agreed. From merchandise to tickets being sold to the games being aired on national tv
Chorizoflex 2929 fine then let the coaches get paid in scholarship too so that all parties involved are compensated like amateurs
Devin Waters education is just a voucher that may or may not be redeemable later, depending on a variety of factors such as field of study and current job market. These coaches are not getting paid with such an adjustable voucher so let all parties involved receive the same kind of compensation.
at least some sort of long-term health insurance as I think Reggie alluded to in the interview
Devin Waters the NCAA grosses close too 12 figures yearly, pay the players enough so they can eat, buy themselves some nice jewelry and let them sign autographs and whatnot for $$$
Great interview
San diego legend.
Great Interview!!
When i first got really really into nfl he was a rookie and what a treat to watch him. 🎉🎉
Drew Brees: Top 3 QB of all time. No argument.
Ian Jackson not even top 3 now lmao relax
Not even top 15
Ian Jackson facts
John Johnson Drew not a top 15?
I'd go top 8
4:58 that nervous laugh at the end and then gets so serious
Expecting Brees
Nice
Kerry Wichterich Brees so underrated, but he is amazing
Guyver2391 Drew Brees underrated? You're joking right? Third all time passing yards and a Superbowl champion. And is regarded as arguably the greatest pocket passing and accurate QB. You're pretty damn dumb if you still think he is underrated.
Unguided Reaper when people speak of elite qbs, hall of famers, pure greatness. Brees is never brought up. Watch any sports analyst. They talk Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger. Brees is consistently great, but left out of the talks. The man threw for 5 5,000 yard seasons, but is treated as a foot note. A qb that was unwanted by scouts because "he's too short to play qb". I'm serious, go and watch any topic about great qbs. Brees is left out because of a bad defense.
Rodgers>>>brees>>>>Brady when it comes to overall skill
Reggie Bush was the visual representation of what every high school running back aspires to be in their careers! He had all the highlights, won multiple bowl games and championships, video game cover (NCAA Football 2007), won the Heisman trophy, AND topped it all off by getting drafted 2nd overall in the 2006 NFL draft! Oh and he won a Super Bowl with the Saints!
Greatest of All Time.
Reggie Bush.
can u imagine being reggie bush in LA for a yr when he was in college. damn
this dude time in the leauge needs to be over 😅 dude rushed for -3 yards this year
you savage!
BestSportVideos he was also on a bad team.
BestSportVideos He was also playing behind LeSean McCoy
+rockinsteak that would make it easier
He acknowledged that in the interview
He is the best college RB I've ever witnessed
Eboy227 You never saw Barry Sanders in college? Bo Jackson? USC did not play ANY team with enough talent to play with them except Texas. And the lost. The way they lost to Texas in the last 8 minutes was a choke of biblical proportions. USC had a wealth of talent.
Eboy227 college player *
Eboy227 do you see any Wisconsin games?
Facts
@@paulbachman7822 i seen them. He was better
Good Interviews recently
Hey Reggie. Seen you in Miami win NCAA. Great college athlete. Congrats on pro years too.
bring Reggie back to the saints
Reggie is a good running back. With the 49ers (my team) it was our fault, we sucked and he had injury problems with no faith to renew contract. Bills issues are covered in this interview. The rest of his career was pretty good; the Saints he played for 5 years and has a ring, was consistently good, and his tenure with Maimi/ Detroit was solid (tbh he should have stayed he could have become a franchise RB for Detroit).
AND THEN HE ENDED UP WITH THE LEAD KARTRASHIAN
on a decent team, he could've have a good career. Like Jonathon Stewart...not amazing but consistently above average
He DID have a good career. Dude even won a Super Bowl.
Knuckle Shuffler should've stayed with my saints
leenster Eh... He's not a bust. Didn't live up to the expectations he never should've gotten. He had a decent career.
Knuckle Shuffler uh he was on a Superbowl winning team...
Jeff Dunan yeah but he was only given the ball 4 times in that Super Bowl he was a non factor
Reggie Bush is great.🏈
He’s really kind and humble athlete
Brings back great USC memories.
GREATEST COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYER EVER. Won the heisman as a back up running back. Literally every touch was a highlight. Scored a touchdown every 13 touches in college now that's ridiculous.
Kai Young I loved Reggie at USC but he's not the GREATEST USC running back!!
Archie Lee then who is?
Archie Lee I said player, but I feel you.
OJ , Marcus Allen, Charles White. Check the STATS. Reggie wasn't a every DOWN back. He was injury prone. It showed in the. NFL.
Archie Lee he was better per touch than any of them
Best rb in college I ever saw...awesome weapon in nfl too
Great guy, great opinions, real shame that his career wasn't as elite as his college one, but then again that would be hard to live up to.
Reggie was awesome in Miami. Great teammate and person.
reggie has always been a great guy.. im 19 about to enroll in Norfolk state university and i have never smoked or drinked 🤷🏿♂️ i dont know what it feels like lol
Reggie Bush is the best looking NFL player of all time. He also have stayed with the Saints.
Only issue in his career was in the early parts of his NFL was that he never truly had the chance to be the number one running back, especially in New Orleans he was constantly in committee or used as a receiver only.
Who Dat nation misses you Reggie ! This will always be your home and you will always be a Saint !!!!
I love his first catch attempt in the NFL. Dude got NAILED.
When I thonk of Reggie at USC, I think of his senior year. A picture of him hurdling a guy, almost in a full split. Dude was insane, agility, speed, and field presence. Every time Sean Payton put him in the slot, he was double covered lol
the way he said the hells wrong with you had me dying
Hes one of the top player in college ever i think....he literally changed the game with his skills.. ..kick return.punt return...running... catching ... Gone...
The legend Reggie Bush
Very articulate brotha. Definitely see a career in sports journalism, when he's done with his football career.
I remember most that awesome national championship game against Texas, Too bad someone had to lose. As a life long Michigan fan I'm just glad it was USC who lost. I still haven't gotten over the replay proven Charles White fumble ruled a touchdown which took a Rose Bowl win away from Bo Schembechler
Drew Brees aint tall like Brady and Big Ben and Matt Ryan....aint fast like Russell Wilson...don't have the gun like Rogers and Stafford. Dude just has an elite QB mind. Master strategist.
WHODAT!!! u the reason ima Saints fan til this day
Colin, you are by far in a way the best sports broadcaster out there, love the content even if it is not always "conventional". Do this for 20 more years so I can keep listening to this stuff.
Nick Dorsey I think he uses too many real life examples to try to relate it to sports.
lakersfansince1991 thats great, I disagree
come to the CFL Reggie!
Would've been sick to see a New Orleans/Miami era Reggie Bush, and a heisman level Johnny Manziel in the same backfield.
The problem for Reggie Bush was people expected him to be the next Barry Sanders but he never was that but he ended up having a good career regardless but people call him a busy because expectations were too damn high
stealthiscool agreed
Anyone expected to be the next Barry Sanders is being set up to fail. NO ONE will ever come close to being as amazing as Barry. And unfortunately, we'll never see anyone that has that east to west running style again. Coaches don't have the patience or fortitude to risk losing yards these days. Barry's son was amazing, but look what happened to him. What a waste. The days of one main RB are fading fast. Now they run with 3-4 backs. It's really sad 😢
Elliott, Bell, Johnson, Gurley, Fournette, Gordon, Howard, McCoy, and Hunt are all pretty much feature backs, Cooks was looking to be one before he got hurt, the Saints will be moving on from Ingram after this year and people seem to think Kamara will be an every down back and there were three RB's taken in the first round and four more in the second round of this year's draft. So, that is 20 teams that already have or look as if they plan on having a feature running back in the next few years. There was also one taken in the third round and five in the fourth round, so those teams are hoping to find a steal in the draft.
If Rod Smith from the Cowboys keeps playing the way he has, some team is gonna offer him a bunch of money to try and be their feature back.
NFL linebackers keep getting smaller because it has been a passing league, so it's the perfect time for teams to move to a power running game.
reggie bush is my fav player that's all i remember
Most elusive player to ever step on the field in college. In the pro just a necessary weapon to have in the arsenal .
Kept it 💯 about how they are getting taken advantage of point blank period!!!
When you realize Seattle's Punter has more rushing yards than Reggie Bush this year 🤔
Nick Gwyn when you realize everyone in this comment section has more.
Nick G :( lmao
I came to see the video expecting the answer
Awwww Reggie. At least shoot a mention to Megatron hahah. But absolutely respect this man no matter where he goes. He seems like that player who'll give you everything and more than he's got
Imagine how much tail he SLAYED at USC
Talent
Imagine if more coaches were like pete, how many guys who never got the chance to be great because they were undrafted or late rd picks. Sherman, Chancellor, Wilson, Wright, Browner for a short time, Baldwin, Rawls.
Or Bellichick. Those two guys find potential in players that almost everybody couldn't find or see.
George Daugherty yeah definitely get the most out of their players. Its crazy because belichick can do whatever with which ever player and still make the patriots a superbowl contender. GOAT coach
Tom Skeez Pete Carroll and Bill Belichick molds players. They can find some random dude in the street and can turn him into a pro football player.
JoseRicoTacoNacho QuesedillaMandillaJones true that! Make the most with what they got
Sean Payton also. Found some amazing late round picks and I drafted free agents
Wow this guy played for my local team, but I guess I never heard any interviews. Totally different person than I would have expected. I mean like Colin said, this guy was pretty much the biggest name in the COUNTRY when he was at USC.
Was a great 3rd down back, and on the dolphins wasn't a bad starter for a year or two
Haha this was a great interview. Always loved Reggie, too bad he wasn’t able to get it going with the Niners.
Man this guy never lived up to his college football days hype...
Nothing he could've done would've lived up to that hype. Same thing with Lebron. Take the hype away, then they would've either met or exceeded expectations.
George Daugherty LeBron definitely lived up to it. He bacame exactly what he was hyped up to be. As far as dominating the game as he did in high school.
George Daugherty what are you talking about? Lebron is probably the ONLY one with THAT much hype to live up to it. I mean cover of SI at 17? He dominated the league since day 1.
itheroman Uh... I'm talking about his hype of being the GOAT. He's not the GOAT. Therefore, he has not meet the EXTREMELY unfair expectations placed upon him.
He's a to 3 player of all time. I give credit where credit is due, but there was no way he could've met the UNDISPUTED GOAT hype. At best, he's probably going to make the GOAT conversation no longer undisputedly Jordan's crown anymore. That's it.
George Daugherty I get what you're saying. But it doesn't take a couple of years to become the GOAT. Especially when said person is still playing in the league..
Lebron may very well end his career as the undisputed GOAT. He MAY, I'm not saying he will. Thus living up to his hype.
So if a college player leaves for the pros should they pay for the yrs they attended school
He looks like Antonio Brown when he smiles
Colin does a great job here
This man is very well spoken and intelligent
Miss you Reggie! Who Dat Super Bowl Champ- !
If you saw Reggie play in college you really woulda thought he woulda been a all time great in the nfl the guy was a highlight machine
I'll give Reggie cred since he said Brees is the best he played with.
I ran for more yards than reggie bush this year lol
But you didnt
Brandon Myers reggie bush ran for -1 yards that year so get good
When running from the police.
Is it wrong to quietly hope Reggie becomes an on-air analyst? I'm really enjoying his insights, and he's a good presence on-camera. I'd like hearing his weekly input before games.
I watch this show!
10:10 LMAO XD
10:10 LOL Cowherd is annoying at times but the guy cracks me up.
James Jackson "what the hell's wrong with you" 😂 that was great
Youre a funny dude Colin. Dont look at me like that Christine. Hahaha
Reggie is a well spoken guy. Hope he can bounce back
Bush brings up a good point of the lack of college player medical coverage, especially in case of career-ending injuries. Even if college players should in any way be compensated, the very least the schools should do is cover their medical expenses and hold their scholarships if a career ending injury were to happen.
he needs to be a WR
Mark DeCaille I could see that, I used to do that in madden 10
Why he didn't do more game film study
Fight on Reggie! ✌🏽
that's crazy !!! i know if i was in college aaaand a rockstar like reggie i would've turned out jus like manziel Lmaoooo
“Nobody listens to this show” damn😂😂😂
There's no doubt college players should have insurance policy covered 100%. For 10 years post grad. Also some compensation while in school. Something reasonable......d1 10k per season. D2 5k per season. D3,other 2k.
Give me the real answer once we go to commercial lol
he'll be great on the Panthers
I think he'd be perfect on the Giants honestly
