- OUT NOW! The Best of Tristania, the full career: • Tristania: The Best of...
In honor of Tristania's disbandment last year, I've decided to put together this playlist highlighting the best of these Norwegian (black and doom metal-tinged) gothic metal giants' material, spanning their first five studio albums (the Veland/Stene/Bergøy-era, if you will). I do have plans to make a second playlist/compilation for the band's entire career, but believe it or no, I'm still missing one of their releases in my collection, so stay tuned for that sometime next year.
Anyway, this one's a long one because it was hard to narrow down what material I wanted to include, let's be real, this band was ICONIC in the realm of gothic metal.

#gothicmetal #doommetal #symphonicmetal - Zábava
Vibeke's voice and Morten's Explosive growl and beautiful melodic metal! these can never be replaced.
I had no idea they had disbanded. I'm so sorry to hear that. Tristania's music, especially their early albums, meant a lot to me in my teens. I've been listening to them for almost two decades and it was one of the first bands in the genre I heard. Great collection. I would've included Shadow man as well.
jeez! My first ever gothic metal album is their 2001 album. what a nostalgia lol. thanks for uploading it!
Wormwood is really something else. The choral part gives eargasm.
♡ Widow's Weeds ♡
This is one of my favorite bands ever, I was awaiting their tour in Brazil, but they disbanded few weeks before this show. a huge lost for Goth Metal.
Brasileiro so se lasca, brasileiro ja nasce gotico por sofrencia
Great selection, man! Thanks for the uploading!
ANGEL LORE is the greatest song I've ever heard by them! And easily stands the test of time compared to so many bands in metal today. The US sucks compared to overseas goth metal! 🤘
Widows Weeds is the epitome of goth metal to me.. Love early Tristania
My lost lenore is one of the best songs
Noice ! It's very near to "MY DYING BRIDE" sometimes in the singing, I love it !!!
BEST OF THE BEST!!!!!!!
Omg thanks ❤ I'll listen this playlist while working
One of my top favorites music bands.
Magnífico. Eu amo essa banda.
I love you and I miss you guys!
Amazing!!!
Norwegian gothic metal is the best.
Norwegian, followed by Dutch
Para mi Tristania murio desde el primer día que Vibeke Stene dejo la banda (For me Tristania died from the first day that Vibeke Stene left the band.)
The greatest and the best female voice in the genre👍
I just suscribed,

💓The Ravens 💓
Why omitted "Shadowman"? :(
Exactly! Best track of that album, by far.
"even fall" is the best
Can I ask what program or platform you used to make the vídeo??
Not a problem. I tend to use pretty basic software just because my computer can't really handle running actual video editing softwares for more than 15 minutes at a time. To actually put together the vinal product (overlaying the audio to the visuals), I use the default program that came with my laptop (some video editor that is a feature of the photos program that Microsoft develops, I think it's just called Video Editor, and I think Microsoft wants me to stop using it since it's not offered in the new updates version of Photos). It's really limited in capabilities, that's why I don't have transitions between slides. It's also because of the limitations of the program that every step of making this compilation/playlist videos is done in different programs. The images can be generated in any basic program that allows you to overlay images and text, and export in large PNG files. And the audio can be done in any basic music/audio editing software. I always try to string the tracks together in a way that songs conveniently start and end at specific times to help with the timestamps. At that point, it's just a matter of syncing the slideshow with the audio, and exporting. Every time I work on one of these, I find that I hone my process, I think the Tristania playlist video that I posted this year (link in description) is better looking than this one. That being said, if or when I get a new computer, I would like to have a more serious software to add some transitions and dynamism.
Hello adorateurs du bon art sonore 🏆❤❤
Where is the time-coded setlist, please !
In the description
They should have a Gothic Metal bands festival.
A lot of gothic metal bands played metalmania in the 90s and early 2000s, there are some cool sets that got filmed back then
@@MacabreSoundscapes Yes, it's true, but man, I'm from Brazil and in Brazil those gothic metal bands don't come here anymore😭
