I would prefer to have over 1 storey of altitude. Otherwise, you're still weaving through streets, between buildings, and trees, and stuff. Make it at least 15' for rooftops, just to be on the safe side, because most single storey suburban homes don't have flat roofs. Otherwise, you're talking about as much of a game changer as riding around the trailer park on a moped. Your feet are over pedestrian's heads, that's about it. (Not to mention, just falling from 10 feet, going about 35mph probably isn't the sort of "Game changer" you're thinking of, unless you think crutches are cool, for some reason.)
This is exactly what I thought. I don't need to go way up in the sky or anything like that.
So basically what I've come to understand is you wouldn't want just one super power. You want them all
Basically he’s saying you want to be a god.
Sylar had the right plan
@@norteco this is a deep cut but damn im here for it !
Yep, to have one major power you need multiple other minute ones. That's what I get form these videos
No because then you would have the super power to shart everytime you blinj
Bro, imagining that I could fly at like 1 km height and go 30 miles per hour to school is still the coolest thing to ever imagine so I would take the superpower 100%
Bro switchhing from imperial AND metric like it's nothing where TF you from
The UK uses both
That's all you need anyway, the point of the power is traveling. I also don't see the danger of going as fast as a motorcycle but just high enough where no buildings are in your way. Even then, you'd adjust speed and go around. I don't want to be an airplane just take no fall damage, simply hovering would be dope
There's also a remarkable technology called "warm clothing" which could make it possible to fly at, say, 3-4 kilometres up, at speeds comparable to a car or perhaps a light aircraft.
then you get kidnapped by the government for experimentation
This analysis is taking it to the extreme when all we want is to be able to have a nice stroll in the air
That but I also want to fly fast to any location
He mentioned that the power of flight he discussed is about the pop culture of flying superfast.
and being chased by scientists wanting to experiment on you
Bro im sayin i just wanna relax just sleeping in flight and not needing a bed or gravity anymore... the simplest Pleasure
@Velocity HDMI mate why fly fast when you can teleport. Never said why we can fly maybe we're pure energy and can send ourselves in a text as well
If I could fly like Superman, I would simply stay at a breathable altitude and fly at a manageable speed. There you go, the power of flight made desirable again.
@Fuckyou EatshitDie he’s from a different planet he isn’t human so he wouldn’t have the same limitations as humans
@Fuckyou EatshitDie viltrumites have an impossible about of lung capacity letting them survive in space for weeks at a time
But super man can breath in the space
@@443Cosmic super man is also an alien. Which Omni man is literally derived from lmao
@Fuckyou EatshitDie Omniman explicitly stated that he doesn't need to breath. You know, when he taught Mark how to fly in space, and he asked how he breaths there...
"That's the neat part. You don't."
"You won't be flying very high"
I don't know about other people, but, I consider safely flying 2 miles into the air to be flying pretty damn high lol
2miles is still high
Because you need to get away from these pesky birds. Note that during the migration period, some birds create 'clouds' of millions of birds and there is absolutely no way you will not fly into one, if you happen to be in one of their paths. While this doesn't seem like much, Kyle points out that even if you're 'only' flying 550 km/h, the force of the impact with the bird is 90,000N which is enough to completely destroy you even if you were made out of solid diamond and since we are talking momentum here, the ONLY way to protect you, is for you to have enough mass to distribute this force evenly, like - say - a Boeing 747 but it would still suffer a lot of structural damage.. No ring, no force field, nothing can protect you from the conservation of momentum. That's exactly the reason why airliners fly at 30,000 feet.
@@nyyotam4057 also the atmosphere is too thick to fly fast near the ground.

There’s no birds in my area, so I’ve won.

Explain cars then please
the kind of flight i fantasize about is more floatation that isnt limited by weight or being conscious or any effort
or manipulating gravity and thing i choose with the same bonuses
For me it‘s controlling gravity all along. Imagine sleeping at 0.1G.
If you can control the Influence of Gravity on objects you could levitate objects. Depending on how good you are, you could immediately stop bullets if you just change their gravity to 10000G in another direction.
You just need to be careful that you don’t accidentally kill yourself.
One aspect I think is cool about flight is that, assuming it wasn't tiring in any way, you could just passively float. It depends on which flight superpower 'model' you're going on, but would be extremely handy in itself. Also I think it would still be cool to go slow. I'm not up to date on laws about flying, but you could probably fly (obviously slowly) at about double the height of an average person (~3.5 metres). This would be incredibly useful for getting through crowds. Last idea, assuming you don't need to be in a specific stance, you could get on a bike or something like that and use your ability to propel yourself forwards. This would be incredibly cost efficient and wouldn't break any laws, and could still be safe, efficient, and effective.
Yeah until everyone else learns how to fly and then instead of the traffic being on the ground, it'd be up 3m in the air with you....

The biggest advantage of this superpower is countering high falls IMO, wich is still valid.
I was thinking the same thing
Yeah, like why the hell would we want to go above 600 feet anyway?
And suit up with some bottled air, IF you want to fly a higher.
Alot of these super powers need to have other supporting powers to make them work, like flight+invulnerability
Or if you had telekinesis, then you would have the ability to fly as well and just as a safety measure. you might pass out from the g-force so you would put an invisible barrier around you so that air resistance to the face wouldn't be much of a problem.
@Nathan Andres exactly, also if you had super speed, you'd need to be invulnerable. Otherwise, your body would be torn to pieces. So if you think about it, the flash should technically not feel a punch from a regular person.
I've always said that, so true! 👍
Or just motorcycle leathers plus helmet. Should be good at least up to 140 mph.
@Mikimarux well, looks like someone else here has secret powers and is willing to share trade secrets with us all. Good tip! But what do you do about the drag, like when your feet start to flip around, because I can't seem to keep my feet from doing this weird dolphin thing at any speed higher than 80mph?
You are basically flying in protective gear when using any motorcycles, bicycles, electric unicycles etc... any open personal transport, so being able to move without it would be so much of an advantage. Of course considering all physical limitations, you wouldn't be able to fly like a superhero but just imagine flying to your local shop or university with a car speed above the houses. Huge time savings even across short distances like few kilometers, huge cost savings because of eliminating a need for any personal transport and lots of new experience

The one paying is the government carry out their orders and they ensure your reward for obedience.
With all these draw backs I would still prefer flying over speed, I don't want to waste energy, ruin my shoes, and have to go pretty slow.
Everyone thinks the best super powers to have are Flying, Invisibility, Teleporting, Shapeshifting, Stopping Time/Time travel, Mindreading, Strength and Speed. But after thinking about it for awhile, even though stopping time would be great to save lives, I think the best super power to have would be the power of suggestion/persuasion. You simply say something to someone and they immediately do what you said without question.
Now that's a superpower that could actually break the law every time it's used because it's basically manipulation into making people do things against their will
Not quite. See, people have this strange quirk about not liking to be slaves. And laws about unlawful imprisonment + forced labour too. Most superpowers that are considered heroic, are those that influence yourself, giving you extra stuff. When you go into mind-control and other perception-affecting powers, then it's not so clear. And when you gain time by draining others, it's far less heroic too. Which is why we already use money to waste other's people time, lawfully. Now, if your power gives you a lot of money, and you pay people to do stuff for you...then it's fine.
@@andrew3203 They wouldn't feel like they are being slaves if you suggest to them that they are completely comfortable doing what you tell them to do.

This only considers it as a long distance travel option though. You don't have to stop taking flights or commuting to work, its just a fun little (huge really) novelty=) Just hover around at "floating" speeds, even that would be fun. Take some pictures, take your gf on a ride, reach that top box, dunk on any hoop, never need ladders again, do amazing tricks on a snowboard, etc. the list goes on=D I think people want the power of flight because of the amazing sensation of flying itself, not to travel efficiently.
Knowing that I could stop myself from falling would really ease my fear of heights. That would be one of the biggest advantages to me.
@@andrewt9204 As long as it's a far enough fall, I feel like your immediate ape brain panic from the sensation of falling will keep you from remembering "Oh right I can fly" for long enough to hit the ground if you're too low. Falcon (or indeed Angel from the X-Men) works within most of these restrictions. He doesn't tend to go that high and it's usually fairly short range so he's not going to need to check weather maps etc. I'm less thoroughly familiar with Angel but there's really only been a couple of times in the comics that Falcon has flown long distances (eg from Arizona to New York). The speed is really the biggest limiting factor and he doesn't break the limits that much compared to characters like Superman who also have superspeed built in. His outfit in the comics does have a history of leaving a fair bit of skin exposed, which is a problem, *but* he actually has a little bit of handwavium built in to his origin story - the Red Skull used a cosmic cube to turn him into a sleeper agent who seemed to be Steve's "ideal partner" with the intention for Sam to turn on him when the secret layers of his personality got triggered, and with the ease that he picked up a lot of things you can read it as the cosmic cube giving him a small level of enhancement as well which could potentially help solve the windchill issue. Granted, he didn't actually fly originally, but he didn't talk to birds originally either, his ability to communicate with birds telepathically developed and got stronger gradually over time. And Angel's a mutant so his mutation could easily just protect him from windchill as well.
Look bro I'm just tryna save on gas lol

Bro....if i could just go...effortlessly....my lazy would expand. Watch me levitate from the ground to the couch to the kitchen and repeat
Lmaoooooooo
My explanation for Superman’s flight is that he vibrates at roughly the speed of light while midair, which cancels out the force of gravity. So you’d have to do a little work to get off the ground. Also, he uses super strength to leap into the air anyway.
I think you would need to use energy to fly, so it would be more o less the same as walking
Or just float like in space don't need no couch
@@briefcasegaming4460 What the heck is with this guy?
So... As a biker, I don't see any problem with flying as you described it. Flying low? Why would you want to fly over the clouds? Sounds cool, but most cities are located under 2km over the sea level anyway, and you would be actually making travel times longer. How slow? 100km/h? Sounds great. Equipment and weather? Helmet, wind proof water resistant clothing and gloves... Yeah, I wear those everyday. Still better than being stuck in a traffic jam and inhaling exhaust fumes from all those stupid SUVs EDIT: WITH ONLY ONE PERSON IN IT.
Yeah, the necessary gear and legal realities don't sound considerable to a biker and pilot. Goggles, helmets, and an insulated, low friction suit sounds awesome. Most of these limitations are "well, yeah. Your point?" to someone who has studied aviation. If those concerns alone were significant, no one would bother flying ultralights. Watch some of those people and decide whether they think they're missing out on anything.

All you really need is a motorcycle helmet, still don't go too too high there Icarus
>airplane

💀💀
The biggest issue with an Iron Man suit is the sudden changes in momentum. Your body's internal organs just can't handle those sorts of g-forces.
@@tehsolace just put some iron bars to sustain your body and keep you in the same place. In according with your movements the bar metals pushes the suit to move as well. Very simple.
@@kyh148 airplanes are much more safer than cars if you know.
>Very serious about science and physics.
>Doesnt put fan in face for flying scene.
Oof
I think the hardest part people don't think about is the neck strain. Lay flat and then tilt your head back to look forward constantly. It's not a natural resting position. Our heads naturally look forward from a sitting or standing position. Now factor in the wind resistance further pushing back on your head the entire time and you're going to have one hell of a sore neck in a very short time. You're going to end up looking straight down trying to rest your neck which will prevent you from looking where you're going.
If you fly in a sitting or standing position you're going to greatly increase wind resistance; you'll quickly feel like you're in a wind tunnel so you'd need some sort of seat with a clear aerodynamic shell... that would all be dependent on how much additional weight your power can support.
Now this would have been a better point unlike all the inaccurate info in this video. The only issue he got right was the government being picky over things in their airspace. All this other points were debunked by skydivers: people who travel faster than speeds he said would be possible at higher altitudes than he said we could go without passing out or getting frostbite.
i like how if you would fly like you would walk, a.k.a. pushing off of stuff, then that means that if you were just levitating (which you probably could) then if there´s enough dust or sand around you would always have a cool effect like a helicopter where all the dust below you gets thrown into the air
Looks like Thor is just mad he doesn't have an Iron Man suit.
I know right.
LMAO
But that's only because the circuits would get fried every time he used his lightning. Tony doesn't have the time to fix them multiple times each battle.
Tony should have given Iron men suits to the avengers expect for Thor of his lightening powers and he can fly without a suit.

Even if I couldn't go above say 1 km, and wouldn't be able to fly faster than 30 km/h in order to stay safe, I'd still see that as an absolute win. Yes it is quite slow compared to a car, but keep in mind that you're no longer restricted by 2 dimensional movement (left/right, forward/backward). You can simply fly up a bit, and then go in a straight line to wherever you need to be.
Or just the fly up part alone is useful.
I remember reading a webserial called Worm years ago, the mc Taylor could control bugs but later realised that was impossible with the secondary power of multitasking, ended up finding being the world's greatest multitasker much more useful.
My point is without supporting powers, many superpowers would come with far more technicalities and limits.
Paused at zero seconds, im telling you right now NOTHING you will say will convince me I would not want the power of flight. With safe practice, and small speeds, and low altitudes, it would definitely be safe and definitely worth having.

Yeah. We can fly just over the roof of skyscrapers, not very high. ☺☺
I mean I'm not hearing any negatives here, like sure it's pretty useless but you can still use it for some helpful tasks. Like not dying when you fall out a window. Or skipping the lift, or not having to find a crosswalk or bridge ect
Basically, I'll take low level flight
And it's easier to get to your work if you don't have to go to far. A highway is faster, but within one city flying would still be faster.
Watch out for power lines and freaking Magpies if you fly in Australia
And if you had some sort of metal suit or missile looking shell for even more speed, or maybe if you could fly inside and push a small plane,. And you could fly your car out of traffic haha
There's definitely no level on which it's worse than not having flight.
For real. I'd take a little over none.
It could still be a very valuable power for a few reasons. The biggest benefit would be that you could safely do things that have the hazard of falling, like working on towers, bridges, caves, buildings, and anything more than 6 feet off the ground; just being able to stop yourself from falling to death or injury in general. Imagine the nice jobs contracting yourself out for projects. Another would be that it's a good thing for a human to have for survival, you could much more easily escape grounded threats..

Just a quick note on the convective skin cooling thing: downhill skiers can move up to 90mph in some cases, but even average non-olympians can do 60mph on skis pretty easily. They do this in sub-freezing temperatures routinely. At European resorts many runs are several km long and take much more than 2 minutes to descend, even at great speed. Olympic downhill courses, even at maximum human ski speed, sometimes take over 2 minutes to complete. It is extremely rare for anyone to experience ski-induced frostbite, even on exposed face skin. Further, my grandfather got frostbite on his toes in WWII flying missions with open windows, BUT it took many hours of sitting sedentary in those cold aerial temperatures on bombing missions... and only happened because they didn't issue his size (14) insulated flight boots at that time. So, if skiers don't get frostbite on their faces, and bomber crews only get frostbite after hours of sitting still with the wrong boots, I think the danger of frostbite can be fairly easily mitigated with some simple winter gear. Nothing Iron-Man fancy. Its just not the inhibiting factor that you are depicting, unless you are flying around naked up there. Now bird strikes, oxygen, etc. those are much more pressing concerns.
While skiing you're mostly wearing some insulating clothing, except on your face, which is surprisingly not that bothered byfreezing temperatures anyways, but keep in mind, that this is a guy from Los Angeles speaking, if I'm not mistaken, where it's still 23°C right now, so he probably forgot, that there are warm jackets, that do a surprisingly good job at keeping you from freezing.
@J Paterson And? He's saying all you need to fly at 4km is a snow suit, assuming you're willing to fly relatively slowly to avoid birdstrikes.
@J Paterson I readily concede the cloud argument in that I was assuming dry skin. I object to the ducking argument, in that flying would naturally assume an aerodynamic position, just as skiing would. Hands forward, face down. The ducking (or tucking as its called) from skiing would not put any less airflow over the face than flying. And as far as mountaineering, that is an all-day or multi-day adventure. The frostbite is certainly not normally suffered in the first few minutes of climbing, but over a longer period of prolonged exposure. I am simply stating that the 2 minutes referenced in the video is ridiculously fast compared to real-life experiences of people with exposed skin and high cold winds. Not that you cannot get frostbite... you certainly can.
@@genoobtlp4424 yeah, thats all I'm saying. A little trip to REI and you could probably fly around for quite a while. Maybe not hours and hours, but a quick trip of 10-15 minutes probably would not result in frostbite, even at 60mph.
for the cold factor I think that a suitable technical clothing is the solution (basically there are people who work at the south pole outdoors at many tens of degrees below zero and survive) but the point I think is the concept of flight in culture pop ... definitely far from the difficulties of real life lol
Dude literally took fun out of flying
I think one of the best shows I watched about flight was an episode of dragon Ball Z where Videl was learning to fly and when she had the fly behind Gohan during the Buu saga you could see that the pressure and even the coldness was starting to get to her
Even given all the restrictions listed, I would still take this power. Having to wear a flight suit and oxygen in exchange for never getting stuck in traffic? I would take that any day. Even if you have to limit you elevation to only a kilometer or two, that is still high enough to easily go over most objects. And flight speed limited to 50-60 kph would still beat just about any conventional travel method simply in terms of being able to fly directly there and not take roads that aren't direct. As for the mid air collisions, staying under a Km or two would have you well under most flight pats, with the exception of flying right next to an airport. With the issue of bird strikes, most people are able to drive safely at 50-60 kph, so I think that avoiding birds wouldn't be too big of an issue. So while you couldn't go speeding through the air at Mach whatever, or easily travel far distances, on a day to day basis, I still think this power would be viable, and very useful, even with the limitations you have listed.
With being able to fly with 60 km/h it would take me 2:39
minutes to get to the university.
It takes me longer to walk to the tram.
But to visit my parents it would take me one hour longer than driving.
Honestly just wear a motorcycle helmet and jacket. You've solved most problems right there.
I'd rather fly like Hawkgirl than Superman anyway, at least that way I know I won't start flying accidentally.
This video is made by an idiot, until the power of Jets, ALL AIRCRAFT were not pressurized and flew at or near 80-300mph in an altitude of or about 400 feet above land, many of which were open topped or at the vary least not air tight in anyway. so, in the near 150 years of only in the last 40 or so have we even had a proper windshield let alone any level of pressurization
Wow... you may want to untwist there, pal...you'll hurt yourself. It's not 100 years ago, where you could land anywhere you want, fly without a license, or even formal training. It's today. ..with tens of thousands of planes, helicopters, drones in the air daily, way more skyscrapers, and RADAR. Your ad hominem attack is idiotic.
When we think of flying I always thought it includes everything that would allow you to fly comfortably even in outer space. like a full package deal.
I think that's usually because people think of Superman or a Superman-like character like the many Superman analogues in comics when they think of a character flying.
@@JR-ju3kj Exactly. Its always been sold like that.
Well then it's same for invisibility and mind reading, and all powers people have said are bad.
The power of Spaceflight then? Cause rockets travel in atmosphere too
That's the beauty of this. He was looking strictly at the power of flight, and ignoring all other powers. He even said at the end, you would need additional powers to be able to do what Superman does.
I've always tried to explain wind friction, vision, temperature and oxygen levels to people whenever they talked about flight as a superpower.
You'd basically be stuck hovering around slowly above the ground.
You won’t even hover off the ground, the video didn’t take account for energy. With energy taken in account, than achieving substantial flight would require a force greater than the gravitational force pulling you down. This would demand immense energy. So let’s say you can generate/store that kind of energy, and you have enough food digested in you to fly. Even with that, generating the required energy to sustain flight would produce a substantial amount of heat and the human body lacks the necessary cooling mechanisms to dissipate this heat effectively, so you will feel weakness, fatigue, dizziness, and will pass out. But all of this does not matter because generating that amount of energy for the human body is not possible. Birds and insects have lightweight skeletons and bodies adapted for flight, human are not adapted to flight. So the energy for flight will be impossible, and even if it’s possible as soon as you fly one centimeter off the ground you will have a heatstroke
You can’t create energy from nothing. There’s a fundamental principle in physics known as the law of conservation of energy, which states that energy cannot be created or destroyed; it can only change forms or be transferred from one system to another. Everything in the universe requires and operates on some form of energy, energy is what allow objects to move and it’s responsible for all forms of motion. The production of energy generates heat as a byproduct, this is a fundamental concept in thermodynamics, when energy is transformed from one form to another, some of it is typically converted into heat or thermal energy due to the inefficiencies of the process, and it’s impossible to produce energy without inefficiencies because of the Second Law of Thermodynamics that states in any energy conversion or transfer process, the total amount of usable energy, or entropy, in a closed system tends to increase over time. This implies that some of the energy is always lost as waste heat, and no process can be 100% efficient.
The only thing that does not require energy is light. Once light is generated, it does not require additional energy to move. Photons, which are particles of light, are massless. That is why light-speed is a fundamental limit imposed by the law of physics. Anything with mass would require an infinite amount of energy, making it impossible to move anything at light-speed and only photons can travel at that kind of speed. We are not made of photons, we are made up from atoms, which has mass.
Don’t believe me that it will take an immense amount of energy to fly? Well, let’s calculate how much energy you need to send an object that weighed 65 kg (Average weight of a man) traveling at 10km/h (average running speed for a person) and the destination is 1km in the air
Potential Energy (Vertical)
GPE = 65 kg × 9.81 m/s² × 1,000 m = 637,650 joules
Kinetic Energy (Horizontal)
Kinetic Energy (KE) = 0.5 × mass (m) × velocity (v)²
1 km/h = 1,000 m/3,600 s):
Velocity (v) = (10,000 m/3,600 s) ≈ 2.778 m/s
KE = 0.5 × 65 kg × (2.778 m/s)² ≈ 254.21 joules
Total Energy
Total Energy = GPE + KE = 637,650 joules + 254.21 joules ≈ 637,904.21 joules
You would need 637,904.21 Joules. Now let’s see how much it could powered an apartment (365 kWh)
Energy = 637,904.21 joules
Power = 365 kWh
Time (hours) = (637,904.21 joules) / (365,000 watts) = 1.748 hours
With that much energy, you could power an entire apartment for 2 hours.
Granted this is mechanical energy and not metabolic energy.
Now let’s calculate how much calories you would need to produce that amount of energy.
1 calorie (cal) is approximately equal to 4.184 joules (J).
Energy (calories) = Energy (joules) / 4.184
Energy (calories) ≈ 637,904.21 J / 4.184 J/cal ≈ 152,222.8 calories
152,222.8 calories / 563 calories (calories in a Big Mac) ≈ 270.5 Big Macs
You would need to eat 270 Big Macs or 152,222.8 calories to achieve the amount of energy you need to fly 1km in the sky at 10km/h
It’s crazy that he left out energy, it’s a fundamental concept in physics and the universe. Without the existence of energy the universe won’t exist.
You did a quagmire there with that pilot announcement eeeeeeeh. 😂

Cool breakdown! I like the won't get off the ground pun
In comicbooks Superman manipulates graviton particles allowing him to fly. Considering he's extremely durable and can go at a fast rate alongside prolonged breathing capacity, the physics behind his form of flight is surprisingly well-written to go with physics in comics.

Fly around altitude of 2 km and use a motorcycle suit, you can withstand around 200km/h and since birdstrikes can happen to a motor driver the gear is designed and padded to be able to take highspeed collisions with birds
Right? I thought the same thing. Most motorcycle gear is attuned to these issues.

And I’ll keep this saved when I unlock this ability. Just gotta level up

To be fair, most superheroes who can fly have additional measures to protect them. Superman is invulnerable and doesn't need to breathe. Green Lantern's ring protects him from the elements. Iron Man's suit protects him. Thor is a god, so mortal limitations don't really affect him. Etc., etc.
Of course, my favorite "flying" superhero is The Blimp from the Inferior Five. He can't actually fly, he just sort of floats. His teammates usually drag him along with a rope.
You completely miss the mark. Kyle points out the simple fact that even if superman was made of diamond, or if he was in fact Iron man, he would still not survive a bird strike: There is no material known to man or even an energy field or anything else than can beat conservation of momentum. The kinetic energy of the bird relative to the fast flyer is huge. A ring - no matter of which composition and of which race or even of intergalactic multidimensional race, cannot beat conservation of momentum, as the momentum has to go somewhere, so even if the ring creates some sort of magical super strong field, the sudden momentum change would still be transferred to whoever flies in said field at super high relative velocity, and he would still be hit just as if that field didn't exist at all. Even he was made of diamond - with the mass of an average human being (and not - say, the mass of a Boeing 747), he would still crumble into dust. There goes all that superhero BS :-).
BTW, its recommended that you watch Kyle's series about Star Wars. He really does a neat job out of it. You could say Kyle snipes away the whole light saber theme and super luminary travel. And besides, its hilarious. watch?v=_-niSHWcnGQ and also watch?v=i1M95njhovw .
@@nyyotam4057 no invincible means that doesn't affect because its invincibility the bird will just die
@@deadlyninja112 "Invincible" is BS: If something is "invincible" by your logic, than what is it made from? Even diamond would crumble to dust from the sudden change of momentum these 90,000N would impart upon impact and no magical or else field will defend against it, since the guy in said field still needs to change his momentum instantly. And this is exactly the problem. So he cannot be made out of flesh and blood. So what is he made of? Steel won't take it, diamond won't either.. Neutron star material? Than would simply explode in Earths pressure. Black hole? Common. In short, what Kyle points out is that none of this superhero stuff stands even a moment scrutiny. You don't need deep reflection to disqualify it, all you need is to apply the laws of physics and it crumbles away instantly. The interesting thing is that even human imagination falls short here, the moment you simply apply physics. Even "MAGIC" won't save the poor superman when he hits a bird. All you have to do to realize this, is apply conservation of momentum, and that's game over for suppy.
@@nyyotam4057 nope invulnerability trumps your little physics lecture

About the skin turning cold - can't you just get a custom suit built for that? You only wear it when travelling long distances because you won't really need it when you just wanna hover 20 ft above the ground and go to your friends' house or running errands
The kind of flight I'm capable of in dreams and stuff is basically swimming through air. With a bit of a jump and a few strokes, I get to go above my house and look around my neighborhood or whatever environment I'm in (sometimes it's a big grassy field, one time it was a giant cave) from above.

man i wish i could have dreams when i sleep
Your flight on your dreams are awesome! All Im able to do in my dreams is to "fly" in like a wave form, up and down, at walking speeds... and 2 feet off the ground...
This has happened to me, and I used to have similar dreams to this. It started off me in my grandparents back yard jumping and going very high and kind of floating and slowly coming down like your jumping on the moon. And then Faced to the field to the south and I started to glide. It was kind of like when you push off a surface in the pool and kind of push forward just more constant movement through the air. It was more like a gliding kind of sense than flying since I usually start to fall back down the ground very slowly during the glide.
Wtf this is my exact method of dream flight even the falling if I stand still. It's like an air Rollercoaster .

Superman has a ton of other powers that would keep him safe. Honestly, so do most flying superheroes.
This is an example of what TVTropes calls "Required Secondary Powers"
Ah true, though some superheroes don't have secondary powers, or relevant ones at least. Although only gliding, there is Moon Knight. And the Falcon simply flies (though he does have a bird in the comics that might just keep the other birds away lol). Also, we can include the Wasp and Yellowjacket (though mini sized, does that make a difference?) and, from Alpha Flight, Aurora and Northstar, as well as Quicksilver (in an early Avengers' comic he can fly short distances by rubbing/vibrating his legs; yeah a bit weird). But most fly at slower speed and mostly zipping around cities not way up into the atmosphere. And most others have special powers (secondary powers) like magic, durable bodies, intangibility, flames, etc. ... and they have those secondary powers because, you know, science. :)
I can attest to the atmosphere thinning. I have been at 10,000 feet in Cusco, Peru. Walking up the stairs was a struggle the first couple days.
