Just to clarify, that 10% Essence on Lucky Hit chance is not actually a 10% chance to generate Essence. It's 10% of your Lucky Hit chance. Meaning if you have a 30% Lucky Hit Chance, you'll get that Essence 3% of the time.
5% for Bone Spear, 1,7% for your basic bone skill, 3% for Bone Spirit, 0% for dots Those are just those I remember off the top of my head (50, 17, 30, nothing, respectively, Lucky Hit.) Edit: But the Bone Spear shards are still Bone Spear (correct me if wrong), and considering they (and the first projectile) pierce (vulnerable targets with that other aspect), I can see this being quite effective actually, even at 5%

Technically this is not completely accurate. Supernatural Bone Spear only makes the FIRST enemy vulnerable. Splintering Aspect only makes enemies "beyond the first" vulnerable. So without the aspect, the FIRST enemy hit will NOT be vulnerable if you do not use Supernatural. Some may say well who cares? Well if the FIRST thing it hits is an elite or boss, that enemy will NOT be vulnerable and thus will NOT take extra damage from a second use of the Bone Spear skill (within 1.5s) nor will it take any extra damage from shards that bounce and come back to hit it. What you will get with Paranormal is an extra two shards after the break (for a total of 5 shards instead of 3) that ALL do damage (but won't do crit damage to the FIRST mob they hit, just plain extra damage). So technically on a SINGLE TARGET (boss), Supernatural is better because if it crits, the bounced shards will hit a VULNERABLE boss. Of course most Bone Spear users will be using Corpse Tendrils and/or something like Bone Prision which will make anything within the area vulnerable anyway. So there really is no point to take Supernatural Bone Spear if you have other means to make things vulnerable, doing so just lowers your DPS.
I couldn't agree more with everyone else saying great job on the build video, very well laid out, structured, & explained. I know you said this will probably be your only one but I would honestly love to see more!
Since your video was an inspiration, I'll share some secrets back. You can bypass almost all your mana problems with just 2 points on the skill tree. Can you guess which it is? :D I'd recommend dropping the sacrifice passive bonus from the imprint, to a 2h with max corpse tendril buff. 40% crit chance and 120% bonus damage (assuming you crit) is just too good. So you have to put splintering aspect on one of the rings, and I guess you could alternatively drop the mana one. I have 12 points left on my tree right now and don't know where to put them. I have 4 skills on my hotbar but I only need 3, really, 1 is the basic skill. Did you guess Iron Maiden? You guessed right :D Do a Last Man Standing and test it out for yourself. Assuming you kill things with one Bone Spear or two, you can just throw Iron Maiden down in between each cast. With just a *SINGLE* more point ("enhanced Iron Maiden"), you will regen 5 essence per enemy hit and its AoE is _MASSIVE._ It's also _instant cast._ Now, for a boss, you will still need your basic skill though and I guess you'll have some gear options now, too. You don't need to waste points into Grim Harvest (and Fuelled By Death), however you can do the passive below Iron Maiden which in practice will give you permanently +9% damage to _everything_ (which you hit with Iron Maiden, which is instant cast and gives you mana). Throw away corpse explosion, no more standing still looking at your screen while clicking on corpses 2-3 times after each Bone Spear (for those without much mana gear). No need for Rapid Ossification because none of your important skills has a cooldown at this point. So that's 3 points saved. Here's the core: d4builds.link/vkyv08 (hope the link works) The builder says this one is ready at lvl44. This is now my core upon which I will test further :D Happy hunting

Now IF a the Bone Spear does Lucky Hit, the ASPECT will only proc 10% of the time a Lucky Hit occurs. The math: 50% X 10% = a 5% chance overall that the Aspect will proc. (10% of 50% is 5%). So basically the Aspect will only proc on average 5% of the time. Note: I am not saying Exposed Flesh is NOT good, of course it is, it will solve the mana issue for sure and that's why people use it! However, you need to look at the REAL chance that it will generate mana. Also keep in mind that the "extra" shards created when the primary spear breaks do not have a chance to lucky hit, only the primary spear initially sent out.

build is good but i would take 1 point out of blood mist and one out of corpse tend and get the both of the extra bone storm improvement helps so much in higher level content
As a day zero diablo 1/2/3/4 player, I have been a Necro main since the class appeared in D2 and the poison dagger build was my jam. I really appreciate the breakdown of the math, skills involved, and the explaining on how and why you chose the way that you did your skills for the build based on your playstyle. I think alot of build videos are mssing this key part. You figured that out by actually playing/testing it out. Not just weighing the math. Since it can get really complicated, as in Diablo 2 (the OG D2, not Destiny 2 *Sorry, not sorry Cross lol) and kinda D3. It's gotta be more than just the numbers look good, it has to work and you gotta survive. GG! Loved all your Destiny 2 content as I was late to that party, starting with Witch Queen. Your content/streams/discord were a cornerstone and essentail resource for me. Helped me kinda catch up and understand how and why features worked as they did. Thanks for that! Anyways keep up the amazing content and happy as hell to have you among the ranks of Nephilim and Necro battling the Prime Evils with us. @@AnAgedMan I've seen a mixture of backlash over seasonal resets (from new players mostly) and backlash over the current endgame experience. Season 1 is going to have to be a banger to keep new players around, who will feel burned by Diablos seasonal model, and to keep the dedicated fanbase engaged. If people are still grinding dungeons endlessly to get slightly better gear so that their build feels marginally better in content that scales to their level, then the player base is gonna plummet.
Necro is awesome, I play bone also but I have been working at imprinting sets of gear so I can drop the exploding/vulnerability giving/sucks enemies in, and has the blight in the cage. It’s a simple loop of caging targets making them vulnerable and spearing them
Thanks, my lucky hit is 82% I'm going to wreck and never run out of essence there is also an imprint that gives you 1-5 essence per controlled impaired target and I just spam blight with the blight imprint to group them as long as there is like 5-7 enemy's you have infinite essence, I use it in blood spec its helpful cc and it stop attacks especially if they are preparing for an attack it moves them constantly.
I might have missed it it but you really need to pick up the paragon that grants essence on kill. You can either keep or remove the lucky strike aspect but essentially the paragon allows to you always cast spear at full essence thus maximizing each spears damage and crit stats.
Tried out these glove on my necromancer. Imo, the chance to restore primary resource is really good for general farming, you never run out of essence. That being said, Butcher spawn when I was running a nightmare dungeon (at time of writing, lvl 61 doing tier 15) and got owned. I killed Butcher multiple times before using a normal setup (the gloves that gives +3 rank to bone spear, crit chance, crit dmg). In addition, usually, I will one/two shot treasure gobs but these gloves will take more than 2 bone spears and it is a big dps trade-off over resource.
Cross just try a class a season best way to pace yourself out with the season reset it'll keep you fresh and excited for something new to try along with the seasonal changes
Tried to tell everyone they were sleeping on the bone necro. Especially in PvP, if you build it with decripify and get the instant bonus damage from amplify. Corpse explosion & blood mist are absolutely awesome and if you like the shadow route in your build its absolutely disgusting in PvE + boss big crits but takes a long time to proc and you find yourself waiting on alot of cooldowns. Bone is absolutely slept on. Ran a bone/minions build leveling after i hit 50 i went full bone. That tentacle, to the bone prison, decripify for the amplifier, bonestorm if you find yourself in that essence uh-oh spot+bone prison 2 dip and heal etc if need be, gain that essence and blow your opponents back out while they anxiously bolt at you trying to finish the "kill" only to get bolted by 15 this is sparta! Spears😂. I call it the make people angry in pvp zones build or the lean back build. Its hot in here and im feeling vulnerable.😂. Run minions if you really want to piss them off but it takes longer to kill them because the skill sacrifices = less damage 4 u but its fun to watch the other player struggle to work past the golem😂😂. Im a diablo veteran played since diablo 1 1st came out(i know im old) but knew immediately when i saw the necromancer thats all I wanted to play. Always played a WW barb since d2. Call myself the emo sorcerer 😂😂😂.
Open with Blood mist (for corpse) Corpse tendrils (cc&Debuff) Iron maid (for essence and health) Then spam blood surge then corpse explosion for more essence. If mist is down use blood surge, iron maiden (makes it free so spam on all new mobs) and corpse for essence. And blood wave (x3 hits with h gear)... you'll know when to use it. You will clear the screen with this combo trust me.
I didnt realize this wasnt a Destiny video. Had same font and color and character looked almost like the destiny armor front season of the haunted. Glad to see you expanding ur platform. Hope to see sum Starfield content later on too.
Take those points out of blood mist. At higher tiers its not enough to save you anyways. I recommend running Decrepify instead. Can give you cdr and the damage reduc is really needed since we are so squishy. Also the fortify from corspes basically never triggers because you will just be one shotting everything anyways. If you notice you arent even close to be fortified in any of these clips.
You say this may be the first and only D4 build video you make, at least in the pre-season, but I honestly and very sincerely hope you decide to make more in the future. I've always liked your Destiny build videos for how in depth they got with the how and why behind the builds, and I'd genuinely love to see what you could put together for Diablo as well. Hope you'll at least consider it!
Not sure you'd see this message but I have an amazing variant of this. I comfortably soloed a nightmare dungeon where the mobs were at level 110 while I'm level 85. The modifier even reduced crit damage by 60%. I'd love to share the specifics or let you play my account.
awesome build, i've been seriously loving my Blood Surge Necro, just going into a group of enemies and just sucking them dry in one button tap, perfect vampire build
So many “end game” builds at lv 70 on CZcams 😅 pretty cool you somehow theory crafted the same meta build as 50 other videos tho good stuff… iv got a few 100s including necro.. there’s some tweaks that lv 100s are doing to the aspects and paragon that really break it … but I’ll let you theory craft that out 😉
Not trying to say lucky hit isnt awesome and godly, FYI If gear says 10% chance to lucky hit, its not actually a flat 10% chance. Its 10% chance of the percentage of the skill that has lucky hit. So if a skill has 50% lucky hit, it takes 10% percent of 50, which is how much it is for that specific skill. Great video!
finally people are starting to use something then the one bone spear configuration for weeks. This is pretty much what I've been running for a while. I do base damage of 600k on average and crits anywhere from 900k to 3.5 mill at level 86. 3.5 mill max crit has happened a handful of times and should not be the normal expected output

Take the glyph that increases dmg vs vulnerable asap. Vulnerable dmg is multiplicative as itself. It is really powerful stat. Also don't do anything resist related, even all resist. They are horrible atm.

@@thomasmacchia6487doubt it. He’s not gonna lose his bread and butter by making vids that get a quarter of the views. By the time Diablo players maybe find him the game will be dead and he would’ve moved on to something else.

build is good but i would take 1 point out of blood mist and one out of corpse tend and get the both of the extra bone storm improvement helps so much in higher level content
As a day zero diablo 1/2/3/4 player, I have been a Necro main since the class appeared in D2 and the poison dagger build was my jam. I really appreciate the breakdown of the math, skills involved, and the explaining on how and why you chose the way that you did your skills for the build based on your playstyle. I think alot of build videos are mssing this key part. You figured that out by actually playing/testing it out. Not just weighing the math. Since it can get really complicated, as in Diablo 2 (the OG D2, not Destiny 2 *Sorry, not sorry Cross lol) and kinda D3. It's gotta be more than just the numbers look good, it has to work and you gotta survive. GG!
Loved all your Destiny 2 content as I was late to that party, starting with Witch Queen. Your content/streams/discord were a cornerstone and essentail resource for me. Helped me kinda catch up and understand how and why features worked as they did. Thanks for that!

@@DK-Nations 1. Its their opinion which is subjective. 2. Anecdotally, I've seen nothing but praise for this game. Only recently has drama popped up about needing to restart every season.
@@AnAgedMan I've seen a mixture of backlash over seasonal resets (from new players mostly) and backlash over the current endgame experience. Season 1 is going to have to be a banger to keep new players around, who will feel burned by Diablos seasonal model, and to keep the dedicated fanbase engaged. If people are still grinding dungeons endlessly to get slightly better gear so that their build feels marginally better in content that scales to their level, then the player base is gonna plummet.
I love that you're playing one of my favorite game genres of all time. I hope you stick with it! Maybe one day you'll try out PoE 👀
Necro is awesome, I play bone also but I have been working at imprinting sets of gear so I can drop the exploding/vulnerability giving/sucks enemies in, and has the blight in the cage. It’s a simple loop of caging targets making them vulnerable and spearing them

Thanks, my lucky hit is 82% I'm going to wreck and never run out of essence there is also an imprint that gives you 1-5 essence per controlled impaired target and I just spam blight with the blight imprint to group them as long as there is like 5-7 enemy's you have infinite essence, I use it in blood spec its helpful cc and it stop attacks especially if they are preparing for an attack it moves them constantly.
I might have missed it it but you really need to pick up the paragon that grants essence on kill. You can either keep or remove the lucky strike aspect but essentially the paragon allows to you always cast spear at full essence thus maximizing each spears damage and crit stats.
Tried out these glove on my necromancer. Imo, the chance to restore primary resource is really good for general farming, you never run out of essence. That being said, Butcher spawn when I was running a nightmare dungeon (at time of writing, lvl 61 doing tier 15) and got owned. I killed Butcher multiple times before using a normal setup (the gloves that gives +3 rank to bone spear, crit chance, crit dmg). In addition, usually, I will one/two shot treasure gobs but these gloves will take more than 2 bone spears and it is a big dps trade-off over resource.
Oh my god one of my favorite destiny streamers now making Diablo builds. This really made my day.
Cross just try a class a season best way to pace yourself out with the season reset it'll keep you fresh and excited for something new to try along with the seasonal changes

Tried to tell everyone they were sleeping on the bone necro. Especially in PvP, if you build it with decripify and get the instant bonus damage from amplify. Corpse explosion & blood mist are absolutely awesome and if you like the shadow route in your build its absolutely disgusting in PvE + boss big crits but takes a long time to proc and you find yourself waiting on alot of cooldowns. Bone is absolutely slept on. Ran a bone/minions build leveling after i hit 50 i went full bone. That tentacle, to the bone prison, decripify for the amplifier, bonestorm if you find yourself in that essence uh-oh spot+bone prison 2 dip and heal etc if need be, gain that essence and blow your opponents back out while they anxiously bolt at you trying to finish the "kill" only to get bolted by 15 this is sparta! Spears😂. I call it the make people angry in pvp zones build or the lean back build. Its hot in here and im feeling vulnerable.😂. Run minions if you really want to piss them off but it takes longer to kill them because the skill sacrifices = less damage 4 u but its fun to watch the other player struggle to work past the golem😂😂. Im a diablo veteran played since diablo 1 1st came out(i know im old) but knew immediately when i saw the necromancer thats all I wanted to play. Always played a WW barb since d2. Call myself the emo sorcerer 😂😂😂.

Open with Blood mist (for corpse)
Corpse tendrils (cc&Debuff)
Iron maid (for essence and health)
Then spam blood surge then corpse explosion for more essence.
If mist is down use blood surge, iron maiden (makes it free so spam on all new mobs) and corpse for essence.
And blood wave (x3 hits with h gear)... you'll know when to use it. You will clear the screen with this combo trust me.
I didnt realize this wasnt a Destiny video. Had same font and color and character looked almost like the destiny armor front season of the haunted. Glad to see you expanding ur platform. Hope to see sum Starfield content later on too.
Take those points out of blood mist. At higher tiers its not enough to save you anyways. I recommend running Decrepify instead. Can give you cdr and the damage reduc is really needed since we are so squishy. Also the fortify from corspes basically never triggers because you will just be one shotting everything anyways. If you notice you arent even close to be fortified in any of these clips.

You say this may be the first and only D4 build video you make, at least in the pre-season, but I honestly and very sincerely hope you decide to make more in the future. I've always liked your Destiny build videos for how in depth they got with the how and why behind the builds, and I'd genuinely love to see what you could put together for Diablo as well. Hope you'll at least consider it!

I believe the Golem sacrifice isn't effected by memento mori. Just the Mage and warrior buffs as it states.

Not sure you'd see this message but I have an amazing variant of this. I comfortably soloed a nightmare dungeon where the mobs were at level 110 while I'm level 85.
The modifier even reduced crit damage by 60%.

So many “end game” builds at lv 70 on CZcams 😅 pretty cool you somehow theory crafted the same meta build as 50 other videos tho good stuff… iv got a few 100s including necro.. there’s some tweaks that lv 100s are doing to the aspects and paragon that really break it … but I’ll let you theory craft that out 😉

Not trying to say lucky hit isnt awesome and godly, FYI If gear says 10% chance to lucky hit, its not actually a flat 10% chance. Its 10% chance of the percentage of the skill that has lucky hit. So if a skill has 50% lucky hit, it takes 10% percent of 50, which is how much it is for that specific skill. Great video!

finally people are starting to use something then the one bone spear configuration for weeks. This is pretty much what I've been running for a while. I do base damage of 600k on average and crits anywhere from 900k to 3.5 mill at level 86. 3.5 mill max crit has happened a handful of times and should not be the normal expected output
get rid of corpse explosion and use Iron Madien into the second tick for free essence

Take the glyph that increases dmg vs vulnerable asap. Vulnerable dmg is multiplicative as itself. It is really powerful stat. Also don't do anything resist related, even all resist. They are horrible atm.
