- Describing the scene in the Ohio courtroom on April 27, 2017, may make it sound like just another day. Indeed, the twiddling thumbs, the shaking legs and the darting glances would be typical of anyone waiting for a judge to seal their fate.But those awaiting Judge Ralph Winkler’s decision on this particular day were not who you might expect. In fact, there were 11 children sat before the judge on a long, wooden bench, butterflies undoubtedly swirling in their stomachs.

i'm smiling like a cheshire cat here, you never know what life will bring, and this just brought me joy, being a "survivor" of the welfare system, of the 80's when you would get your arse beat for the slightest of things, it brings me great joy to see that there are good foster homes out there now, and those days of abuse in foster and govt care is over.. god is good.

What an amazing couple and family, I hope they not only get enough money to buy the van they need, but also enough to help with all the childrens education. Really puts a smile on my face to know there are people out there like the Sanders.

This is one of the most incredible stories I've ever heard. When I saw extended family members grabbing wads of Kleenex, I thought, ok......here come the tears. My husband and I struggled to raise our 3 children. What does this family do for a living? Going to the grocery store has to take an astronomical amount of money. Can you imagine how many carts it would take? This story would be perfect if their GoFundMe link was included!

What an amazing couple! To take on six kids! Truly amazing. It is frustrating to hear some people who tries to make an issue of race. What is truly important is that the kids staid together, have life’s basic needs met, and that includes a safe, secure environment filled with love. It doesn’t matter what color the skin is, what matters is that the have what is important, race is at the bottom of the priority list.
