I remember DDP had a bunch of diamond cutter finishers: standard, off ropes, and turn buckle.
Fucking awesome.
That game still has some of the greatest move sets and the best base wrestling engine.
I remember having like 30 seconds of epic grab reversals with my brother lol.

I think I put this story on another one of your Revenge videos but here it goes again. When I was in 3rd grade I was invited to a friends birthday party. After we got back from McDonald’s we all sat down and played Revenge together. At this point I had only played Super Wrestlemania for snes... after about an hour of playing the other guys all went to play outside and I sat there in his living room by myself and played Revenge until my Dad came to pick me up. Really solidified my loner lifestyle at an early age.

Wow I had this game when I was 11 years old I think. I'm 33 now ,brings back some great memories
This game is so awesome. There’s a secondary move list to believe it or not. I did several of them on accident over time and could never figure out how to do them again.
I only that when you grapple, depending on the button option. You could hold or quickly pressing the button, they had a different attack animation.
Shame Wrath couldn’t be in the base roster. Would’ve loved to team him up with Brian Adams.
I've always wondered why he wasn't finished. Might have been when he was out injured, and they dropped the gimmick with Mortis. Who knows.
That music rocks. Damn!
It has a kick ass soundtrack. The best of all the AKI wrestling games in my opinion.

I believe that Kim Chee is based on the actual wrestler Koji Kitao. A lot of the non-WCW wrestlers are based on wrestlers from/working in Japan.
I use to play this game all the time! Just the other day I learned you could do combos. Haha I'm so pissed off

Virtual Pro Wrestling 2. The roster covers about 10 different promotions. Plenty of legends to unlock and I don’t think the super finishers were in any other game. And the detailed entrances and arenas really set it over the top. Wrestlemania 2000 is a close second.

For me, even though it lacks modes and features found in the later games, Revenge is my favourite. From the godly roster, the awesome intro and the music, the game just bleeds style.

I can't imagine that AEW's game will become this good... I mean, wrestlers do so much crazy stuff these days, are they all gonna put that in the games? The gymnastics they do... And look at the roster, I think nobody will fit in this game with their stupid attires.
I'd really love to see it done with hand drawn frame animation for moves, I think that gives the AKI games such character. Unfortunately they will most likely motion capture.

Get your Spirit Meter up so it starts flashing Special, strong grapple then move the control stick 👍🏻
....and to steal your opponent's finishing move, instead of moving the stick, hit "A" and "B" buttons together after you get them in a strong grapple

Get your Spirit meter up to where it's flashing Special, then strong grapple by holding A and flick the analog stick 🤘🏻
