As a sexual assault nurse examiner, I can tell you that a vast majority of victims are not “perfect victims.” And, even worse, the perpetrators pick these victims specifically because they KNOW that there is a larger chance these people will not be believed. It’s a calculated decision. I’m not sure that that’s what happened with Cody, but it just makes the situation even more traumatizing for victims. It’s so difficult for victims to come forward, then to be told they are the reason for their own trauma after just traumatized them even more. This narrative needs to stop. I totally agree with everyone about needing to talk about politics. It’s very important and it affects everyone in this country. I think the problem is that each one of us have differant economic, financial, and cultural circumstances. Not everyone is “politically educated” or socially aware and it creates a lot of tension and causes hard feelings for some. I hate that, and most of us can disagree and debate in a respectful manner, but there are some that are unwilling or incapable of that. We should all be talking about politics and policies in the most casual way like we talk about the weather. Imagine if a big group of people had to decide on where to eat dinner but instead of discussing it, they all just wrote it down because you want to vote for the restaurant you’ve always gone to or your parents have always gone to, so instead of listening to your friend who has a food allergies and can’t eat there, or hear about a new restaurant that might suit you more, you all close yourselves off. That would be crazy. The reason, (and this is a hot take) that people don’t wanna discuss it, is because they might see another point of view, they might get educated on how their chosen party might effect other peoples lives and that would make it harder to tick that box knowing the damage, anyone who says ‘let’s not get political’ needs to ask themselves why.

As a former female fan of Cody since 2016, I really just sighed and thought, “well there goes another one”. But the biggest thing was listening to Tana and how she didn’t feel traumatized, but realizes now what happened to her was wrong. At 17 I started a long distance relationship with a man 10 years older than me, which is technically legal in Colorado. Only a few months after I turned 18 my parents paid for him to visit from Japan. I was in a relationship (engaged at one point) with him for years and not a single person made me feel like it was weird. I just turned 33 and I’m so proud of Tana for speaking up and I also relate to the whole “this wasn’t the worst thing that’s happened to me” part. I never really watched Tana so I never had an opinion, but she definitely has a new fan. It’s opened up a whole new discussion with my psychiatrist and filling in some gaps.
I had a similar thing happen to me with someone I met online when I was 15 and he was 25. He was French so it was legal there I guess, and it’s just disgusting the unspeakable things that happened between us. And like she said, I’ve been through worse so it just didn’t seem like a big deal until now (I’m 25 now) and couldn’t even imagine.

Tana deserves so much more respect, not just from men but from other women. There isn't one female out there who hasn't felt like they've been in her shoes at one point in time with any of her situations in life. Ranked choice voting would really help get third party (or 4th or 5th party) candidates on ballots. Getting more than 3 parties at the national stage would allow things like collations collaborating to get hugely important legislation passed - like they do in many European countries. These are battles we need to be fighting in between elections so that meaningful candidates and ballot measures are on future ballots. Also, this talking point that Kamala isn't exciting is kind of tired. Presidents aren't meant to be exciting. There's a lot of misinformation and misogyny out there about her.

I live in Harrisburg Pa, right down town, and there has been a drastic increase in gun violence lately. The Fourth of July celebration and food truck fare was shut down before the fireworks could even finish. They didn’t do the fire work finale because someone pulled a gun. Ruined the whole fare for the whole city. There’s also a mass amount of teenagers that form mobs and get into mob mentality. It gets a little scary. We’ve had to have a heavy police presence the past few celebrations. And usually heave police presence during the weekend. One teen was shot and killed a few blocks from my place last month or so because he pulled a gun and shot at a cop. Missed. Cop pulls his gun, fires - kills the teen. It’s such a shame. It’s really sad that he had to be shot and killed. It makes me sad it all had escalated to this.

The reason, (and this is a hot take) that people don’t wanna discuss it, is because they might see another point of view, they might get educated on how their chosen party might effect other peoples lives and that would make it harder to tick that box knowing the damage, anyone who says ‘let’s not get political’ needs to ask themselves why.

I can’t understand anyone who can still be a fan of someone like Cody Ko, the second I heard everything about Colleen I couldn’t even look at her or hear her voice without being enraged and I was a STAN for sooo long
As a former female fan of Cody since 2016, I really just sighed and thought, “well there goes another one”. But the biggest thing was listening to Tana and how she didn’t feel traumatized, but realizes now what happened to her was wrong.
At 17 I started a long distance relationship with a man 10 years older than me, which is technically legal in Colorado. Only a few months after I turned 18 my parents paid for him to visit from Japan. I was in a relationship (engaged at one point) with him for years and not a single person made me feel like it was weird. I just turned 33 and I’m so proud of Tana for speaking up and I also relate to the whole “this wasn’t the worst thing that’s happened to me” part. I never really watched Tana so I never had an opinion, but she definitely has a new fan.
It’s opened up a whole new discussion with my psychiatrist and filling in some gaps.

I had a similar thing happen to me with someone I met online when I was 15 and he was 25. He was French so it was legal there I guess, and it’s just disgusting the unspeakable things that happened between us. And like she said, I’ve been through worse so it just didn’t seem like a big deal until now (I’m 25 now) and couldn’t even imagine.

Ranked choice voting would really help get third party (or 4th or 5th party) candidates on ballots. Getting more than 3 parties at the national stage would allow things like collations collaborating to get hugely important legislation passed - like they do in many European countries. These are battles we need to be fighting in between elections so that meaningful candidates and ballot measures are on future ballots. Also, this talking point that Kamala isn't exciting is kind of tired. Presidents aren't meant to be exciting. There's a lot of misinformation and misogyny out there about her.

I live in Harrisburg Pa, right down town, and there has been a drastic increase in gun violence lately.
The Fourth of July celebration and food truck fare was shut down before the fireworks could even finish. They didn’t do the fire work finale because someone pulled a gun. Ruined the whole fare for the whole city.
There’s also a mass amount of teenagers that form mobs and get into mob mentality. It gets a little scary.
We’ve had to have a heavy police presence the past few celebrations. And usually heave police presence during the weekend.
One teen was shot and killed a few blocks from my place last month or so because he pulled a gun and shot at a cop. Missed. Cop pulls his gun, fires - kills the teen.
It’s such a shame. It’s really sad that he had to be shot and killed. It makes me sad it all had escalated to this.

It is our protector spirit, and a sign of hope leading our ppl in times of trouble. There are stories passed down that many Red-Tail hawks flew with its people on the trail of tears. Where I live now, a Red-tail hawks nest nearby & has for years , and flies for my children now. Some of our ppl are divided on the Sound usage, because if you know history it was not asked or consulted to use for the American symbol. But America has a bad habit of taking Sacred symbols, like on purpose it seems (like I know colonization lol)

I think he should publicly apologize and take accountability for what he did. Tana may have "grown up fast" but she was FRESHLY 17 when they had sex. You can't tell me that at 25 you didn't acknowledge the fact that you were using your fame and age to take advantage of a CHILD.
