Awesome approach and departure angles.
No different than a real motorhome
@@fewworddotrick Overhang length is about the same, but I think the departure angle is a bit worse on this because it sits lower.
Or maybe it's just the mudflaps screwing with my head.
@@EyeMWing yeah it looks like it would scrape every time you left a parking lot and there’s a lot of weight behind the rear wheels compared to other cabovers which is maybe interesting in high winds or if he ever towed something.
I could even see getting it stuck trying to navigate some parking lot entrances/exits, or getting high sided over a small mound off-road and driving the front into the ground lol.
I wonder if he added that front part because it was too unbalanced because it seems like he can’t of planned this originally with the front like that.
Personally I would like it if it stopped where a normal cab over would about 18 inches past the tail gate and left whatever that is (a BBQ pit or something) off the tail end and only had the front overhang a little bit. It defeats part of the purpose of having an extended cab truck if you can’t see out the front without a huge overhang blocking everything but the road.
Wow! I wonder how it does in the wind? The rear hangs past the rear wheels quite a bit. Would love to see the inside!
Has to be sketchy as all hell in strong winds and highway speeds.
Want to see the build on this rig either way
Don't get it over 65 😏
How about that big box on front? Hit
A dip or bad pothole it's a sure thing
Something going to break.
@@jackhammer7824 its like 2 feet off the ground it ain't gonna hit nothing lmao. Hasn't yet. And it only weighs 100 lbs so whats it gonna rip off, the mounting arms?
@@79dent Two feet ? You need glasses. It's just about the hubs of front wheels. The support brackets even lower. I'm sure going a sane speed would be prudent, it's at night when you don't
See a road issue that damage happens.
See it all time on rental RVs. When people aren't use to driving such a vehicle. Some of these idiots try to drive
Box trucks or even semi's like their in a car! Guess you learn the hard way sometimes.
That thing is about to snap it's spine 🤣
Estoy cansado jefe
If it were anything less heavy duty than an F-550 then it would. But dang...
The box on the front it full of tractor weights to balance the back of the R.V. out.
My imagination is running wild as to what it looks like inside I'm itching to see 👀
Marble floors and Italian leather couches I presume
Meth lab
Shout out from Germany... awesome build. Nonetheless, this would NEVER be approved here in Europe. Hope he has an awesome vacation!!!!
That's why my ancestors left that place...lol
This is truly a cool camper. Hats off to the person that built this camper. And I agree someone find this person and get a inside look. Very cool 😎
Badass Bob Wells would Go nuts Over this. I Want this.
He may have figured out the counter balance to cracking his bed with that front box. Impressive!
How would you like to parallel park that thing in the street. I wonder if it will fit in a handy-cap parking spot?
Not a Dodge.
Man said, 'i can make my own' and he did! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
"I thought I have seen it all, but!" Never gets old.
This is impressive.
It's probably aluminum diamond plate, wouldn't be much heavier than a stock unit if they came that large, either way it's awesome.
“Kinda of a home made type deal” lol
Costco sells that same setup for $5,999.00 with delivery

Pretty sure that’s that’s an F550 transformer. It reconfigures into a giant crime fighting robot!
That should be a fifth wheel setup with dual tandems. Looks pretty heavy for that truck.
Should be on a bus
Cool! He must be a welder. My Dad did stuff like that. He welded 1/4 inch steel 'diamond' plating on a work truck that I borrowed. Someone ran into it in the parking lot. They destroyed the whole front end of their car. It did absokutely nothing to the truck.
Man I'd like to see more on that thing.... Would've been cool if you could have found the owner and they would have gave you a tour....👍👍👍
I think this was posted somewhere else on CZcams but I can’t remember. Someone did a walkthrough and interview with the owner!
Always nice to see some home built rigs.

Looks like Titanic on wheels.
Only issue is Ford never built a F550 with a pickup bed and all of them had 19.5 tires. This is a F350 with a F550 badge.
