“Belle dee di questo core” from Act II of Handel's "Giulio Cesare." Christophe Dumaux (Tolomeo). Conductor: Harry Bicket. Production: David McVicar. 2012-13 season.
Christophe's performance here is truly amazing. How he can have such control of his voice and breath doing those leaps ! He has such a lovely voice. I wish he came to North America/Canada. He is one of the singers I’d love to see live before I die
some theatre productions purposefully change the setting. the romans are dressed as 19th British colonizers, and at the time Egypt was part of the Ottoman Empire
Rich and beautiful voice + elegant choreography + funny travesty costume = unforgettable performance
What a beautiful rich-sounding voice! Amazing
He is just fantastic!👏👏👏

No complaints here. Wow.
I first heard Christophe sing the mad scene from Handel's "Orlando". Quite a difference in his appearance.

Ho come l'impressione che lo scenografo (o il regista?) abbia confuso l'Egitto del I secolo a.C. con l'Impero ottomano...
Oramai tutti confondono.
