I havent watched the whole episode but MBT knows the only way we are seeing crystal beasts is if Cimo plays it. My prediction is Gage plays chaos for the 20th week in a row.

serious note, cimo cant play crystal beast. both literally and figuratively. in the jank episode he didnt even know they got flipped before destruction. and he doesnt have pegasus. gage has pegasus, but will never touch it or his ghost rainbow dragon because it wasnt tier 0 and top worlds.
I watch every episode of Prog twice. Once on Cimo’s channel and the second to hear Joseph call Gage a penis head for 35min
This was an ABSOLUTE stomp, the Cimo gigachad energy of just calling out both the morphing jar and the bls was amazing

I love the sinking feeling of dread watching Gage make the worst possible choice at every point

Worst part is Cimo has been playing very poorly as well and Gage can't even capitalize
@@pablorosada9788 Honestly, Duster is pretty heads up. Duster makes Stein so much more powerful and is a mega punish to any deck that runs back row. I think Graceful is probably the next closest card since digging 3 to see the powerful 1-ofs is super strong.

It's not often we get to see Cimo painting the tunnel so clearly.
I already saw the episode, so MBT talking about all the cards to ban was so comedic knowing Gage wouldn't even mention one of them
I understand why Gage may have prioritized the busted DM staples, but it's so fucking weird he didn't even *consider* banning Stein. Not even on his mind
I don't get why chat was laughing at Gage for picking Harpies; it's literally what I would probably have picked with Stein being second being Harpies heavily limits the decks you can play. Gage makes tons of stupid decisions, but that wasn't a bad one, so I think a lot of people are just clowning on him no matter what he does. If Gage had played Cimo's Reversal Quiz deck he would've goten "lol gageh" instead of "based".
@@Prodigial you're not wrong on both points but I think Cimo also made a good point about him having to change up his whole strategy if Stein had been banned instead. In the short term Stein is probably the better pick but the long term HFD will always be good.
I do think Gage definitely receives the brunt of criticism, whether fairly or unfairly, regarding deck choices, ratios, and plays. In the eyes of the fans/viewers he will most always be questioned on those choices eveb if he were to play a more "based" deck. That being said, my biggest annoyance with him is his inability to see any card unless it was good in constructed instead of recognizes the sealed environment they are in. He rarely attempts anything new or innovative.
Granted, GX is not bringing anything new and both decks are looking pretty stale st this point. Hopefully they both change it up when Light of Destruction comes around.
@@tzarecehle979 HFD would've been fine. If Gage was playing a beefed version of his burn deck from last week. Instead he went back on Chaos, with the worst version of chaos to date. It's gotten to the point where I wish Snatch Steal still stole cards so Cimo could take BLS and force Gage to play literally anything else.
Gage had literally the exact same beat down deck Cimo has. He has dead rat. He has an entire Glad core he refuses to touch because he didn't pull Heraklinos. He has competent burn. He has cyberdarks rotting in the collection. He has literally 20 other worthwhile strategies that we will never see because he can't actually deck build, because to his own admittance, he just Googles "Meta deck" and fills in the blanks.
@@ZeroX7649 yeah you're right, he is quite literally tunneled in on BLS and cannot see anything else despite the multitude of playable card pools he already has.
@@tzarecehle979 I wouldn't be nearly as annoyed as I am if Gage were capable of playing anything else well though. When he tried Dead Rat, it was abysmal and he never resolved any of his Turtles or attempted to crash them or if he did, he didn't Ryukokki or VL.
God I loved the Confiscation, “get rid of the BLS”, without even looking, and of course, that’s what it was.
He has every piece of the millenium puzzle.

I get really excited when they get to these duelist packs, but then I realize that actually these decks dont need many new cards at all.
Gage: ok ok I'll take a bad decision, then I'll proceed to take a bad decision. For the follow up I think i'll spice things up and make a bad decision, a second bad decision and a 3rd bad decision. During my next turn I can make up to 5 bad decisions, I think the realistic options is to take them all.
At this point, Gage needs someone to whack him with a newspaper whenever he even thinks about playing Chaos.

And gage is still coping on chaos. At this point you should know that it doesn't do anything. Can't wait for next week when cimo destroys gages nuts with tomato turbo again.

Gage realisticly had 8 maybe 10. cards that could potentially stick for a monarch. Trooper is too puny on opponents turn, same with jar. The 2 maybes are sangan and witch. Both are tiny but slightly less tiny.
IIRC the reason Pegasus wasn't in the Pack for Jesse was Pegasus had a Collector Tin promo
Ngl, i think the way to legitimately improve progression series is to swap nym for mbt.
He gives legitimate consideration into every single card in these packs instead of just scanning for copy+paste good stuff and would bring variety to the series

I dont think I need to say it again. but there is so much they could be doing if they had banned all the dm good stuff lingering in the format. the tunnel is real for both of them, more so for gage.
dark gaia as mbt highlighted, megarock dragon, ritual, six sam, glads, crystal beast (gage has I think 1 or 2 pegasus and the ghost rare rainbow dragon), normal beats, hero, gage has voltanis for counter fairy. and probably more that I havent mentioned. but no. we get Stein recruiter and chaos till the heat death of the universe.
what sucks more is we cant even influence them cause it's all 9 weeks out. we scream into the shining darkness but get nothing. our efforts in vain.

I feel like Cimoooooooo calling it "snatch steal" is a little misleading. The original holder of the card isn't losing the copy. It's just whoever spun it gets a copy. Wouldn't it make more sense to call it Copycat?
So two things 1. Gage was the one that conceived of the wheel for this season and 2. Originally it was going to be an actual steal but the first time they got it or maybe before they got it, they immediately realized that even for this wheel that would be so over-the-top OP that they changed it to what you more accurately refer to as a “Copycat”, but the name stuck because part of it is to honor/dishonor the card that won Cimo the most games in Season 1 to the point that it became a meme.

Another week, another Chaos deck from Gage that makes me question if he's trying to throw his way into banning Cimo's entire collection. He really tried to play Chaos with 6 darks and 6 lights with half of those lights not going to the grave with any regularity....

Cyber stein is still good card even until now also responsible to a lot bot FTK kill in MD. I cannot believe gage did not ban cyber stein. Far more worst snatch steal will allow Alex to get Chaos soldiers for sure, because what card your want to get from gage, snatch steal. Gage and to a lesser extent cimo both have an amazing ability to ignore really interesting strategies and just play the most boring shit possible.
At least Cimoo somewhat changes it up each week. Gage literally plays the same deck over and over with 1-2 cards difference.
