To satisfy the demand from rich developed/civilized countries, that's how some people in developing countries, using their own energy, dangerously labor to survive and sometimes risk their own lives to bring home food for their families.
Meanwhile, in developed/civilized countries, a lot of people destroy other human lives, not to survive, but to elevate their sickeningly egoistic/selfish standard of enjoying their own lives. Not only with guns, but with papers, with what they call "civilization", "culture", "laws", "regulations," "justice", "system"... You name it!

any further than they are going it would be faster to drag one or 2 maybe 3 logs in a row behind the bike up the hill then shoot back down and grab a couple more then the time they are waste loading them and pushing them up the hill hell get a cart and put 2 on it and run it up and dump it would be faster than this.

Obvious;ly CB oil isn't available, or felling dog spikes, but labor is abundant. These guys need a Lucas mill and mill on site or move it to the timber they cut each week.
