You just figured that out???? And, it sounds like you have too many feminine hormones clouding your judgment......LOL, but we'll let you resonate all that excess female sexuality here.....if there was/is a guitar/rock celebrity more deserving of that kind of groupie like adulation, I don't know who it would be. In any event, try to keep that brassiere buckled up, okay?
Yes, but he will never shut up about it now - and Berkley aren't going to begrudge all that positive press either, so they'll overlook it. The Emperor wears no clothes, and the world applauds his fashion sense...
@@lueysixty-six7300 I feel like your statement is a bit backwards. I have not once heard John Mayer mention Berklee in mainstream interviews, let alone flaunting it. From what I can tell, Berklee College of Music milks out the fact Mayer went there. No shame in that either.
From what I hear if you graduate Berklee you've done something wrong. Most become professional musicians before graduation even comes around. I think he got it right.
Here is an above average, yet ordinary man, who, rather than get nervous in the spotlight like the rest of us, instead gets this super-confindence! And that carries him through to bigger and greater heights. Because though he is little more than average, he believes he is a superstar > that undoubting self-belief gives him superpowers to slam dunk on what he should fear...and he rises to the top. This has happened since day dot, and every since he took to the mic on stage with a Strat, he builds on every performance. My skills were pretty much on par with a young Mayer - but when I hit the stage, I had doubts, and they insinuated themselves into my performances. ..and I built on that. With every mistake in every performance my doubt grew. All the time Mayer is building on his successes. It's amazing the difference. We started off not too far apart. Some, but not by a great deal, really. But success breeds success just like failure breeds failure. He is at the tippity top; and I am at rock bottom. 😁👍. 😫
tbefore he released this song he was mainly none for playing cute pop songs (body is a wonderland/daughters) but this song is basically challenging that notion saying "who did you think i was? the soft pop guy? well check out my crazy blues playing"
Berklee school of music - the only camera guys who KNOW to film johns hands when he plays guitar
Love it ❤
Needs a dash of Palladino and a pinch of Jordan.
Gabriell Bishop I'm a glutton. I say dump the whole jar of Jordan in there. Mofo can grooooooooooooove.
Nick B accurate af
Is it just me or that guitar tone is clean af
it’s not just you it’s all of us.

Fun fact. He never actually ever graduated from Berklee. He went there for a semester, I think.
Alex Brinkley one and a half

Luey Sixty-six he left because he got a small a record deal so he moved to Atlanta which later lead to his Columbia records deal

bushericw Matt garstka
i like this hair style
Jesus Christ!! He looks so damn good here! and sounds so damn good too but that's a given.
I almost confused him for a young Frusciante with the power of Hendrix's inside of him
But it was the other axis, a young Mayer❤
Clean as a mdf. Amazing
What about it's looks like so hard to play and sing at the same time
he;s hot with or without hair and he is a fucking total badass player
0 Dislikes? THAT'S RIGHT!!!
That right hand is gonna kill me.
Bruno Cormack the left will too
The song is really easy to play note for note but singing it while playing....good luck

waffle
Reminds me of Stevie Ray just a bit
1:24
Is that a hendrix cover or a mayer original ?
Thats an original
Fionán Coughlan It's based off of a Hendrix riff from the tune "Power of Soul"
The ending IS Power of Soul.
But Who Did You Think I Was is ALL John Mayer.
Fionán Coughlan Heavily Hendrix influenced
+Gibson Blues Yeah he may be, but this is all john mayer, this is how he plays, he isn't trying to copy anyone.
Guys, please could you tell what is the song about? - I can't make sense/ I am not English-speaking/
Алексей Попов He is talking about his new feeling of blues!
tbefore he released this song he was mainly none for playing cute pop songs (body is a wonderland/daughters) but this song is basically challenging that notion saying "who did you think i was? the soft pop guy? well check out my crazy blues playing"
Syncopated?
