One thing I've come to realize is that even when you fix the major issues, typical people will not notice until you point that stuff out. Yall did a great job!
Thanks for being real and not hiding the flaws. Shout out to the wrappers out there. Paying someone to do some of the more complex stuff vs the whole thing, you should still come out ahead and saved some money right?

Event though it doesn't look perfect close up for a first time I think it looks great! I've always dreaded wrapping a car and seeing you do It Ik why people charge so much for wrapping. Good job man it looks at least 5x better đ
Itâs not an easy task but itâs something cool to learn to do for yourself in the future or even charge others to do their cars
@Miguel Dsm I agree man. Well done good on u for taking it on yourself to wrap it. Only bad part now is you will notice all the imperfections. But I've come to learn there are stories and beauty in the imperfections

Definitely turned out better than expected for a first try! I wrapped a desk I built with carbon fiber wrap and got the same issues with the edges as you had on the mirrors..
Sure did! Just wish it was a little nicer haha. Itâs not an easy task man
One thing to note for the future is you can make a slip solution out of a few drops of baby soap and water. That way when youâre using the squeegee it glides instead of getting stuck. Great job man!

I use that same heat gun for wiring heat shrink, removing headlight lenses, etc.
I have a buddy who likes to wrap for fun and said he could wrap my '99 GSX
It lasted so money well spent. I say do a color thatâs different from oem
@Miguel Dsm Yeah mine has that terrible clear coat failure that some call DSM melanoma. If repainting I would go OEM but for wrap I would do something different. Great job first time for you!

Removing everything is key also patience đ . It took me like 34 hours total to wrap ny sti and 10 hrs to remove lol. But good job nonetheless. Would recommend doing it inside the garage. Love the color choice. Still trying to decide what color!
Garage and removing a bunch of trims would make things so much cleaner and easier. Go with anything as long as itâs not gold or shifts colors lol
Wrapping ain't easy by any means. It's a process of doing it over and over with some help to make it easier for all of you. Color is nice pick though!
And for a first wrap job, I think it came out pretty darn well.

I've wrapped a car 3 times and yes it's a tedious process that takes time and patience. I've had to rewrap panels a few times and it sucks but worth it in the end. Looks good man, if you have to rewrap the fender, see if you can locate some legit JDM fenders first and wrap them so you're not doing it again down the road... All it needs now is lowered on rims... looks wayyy better.. On the intro I thought you did purple and was like Noooooooo đ€Š

@@MiguelDsm JDM fenders have factory side marker holes, if you're lucky you can get the factory side markers... Some ppl cut their own holes but JDM ones are the way to go imo

What size wrap did you buy?
Ive wrapped my Evo 9 twice. Doesnât get any easier by yourself. Prep and taking trim off is time consuming and those bumpers and wing are a pita to wrap. But I do get compliments on the wrap A LOT lmao.
Also never drop the wrap on the floor. It becomes a magnet for dust. I know by experience haha. Second time I wet the floor to keep the dust down.
Yea prep and more dedication of time would have helped with the outcome. Overall cool experience though!

I actually got offered a job to wrap and I went for it, still getting training but definitely a case of "NOT AS EASY AS IT SEEMS" but it's still a cool job but definitely has its major cons
Piece of advice, when applying the vinyl, don't put too much tension because once you cut the excess, the wrap will eventually peel out itself, which "tape primer" comes in handy for these occasion.
Just as a rule of thumb don't put too much tension.

I did but i was mainly between yellow and blue. Yellow would have been too bright for a daily driver so I stuck to blue

There is a WRAP scam out there. A guy stole my car. He had bad checks from the wrap company. Let me buy your car and make it a beautiful wrap. He has a check from the wrap store. It's a SCAM. They steal your DSM and don't pay you for the nice car.
