Turin, beautiful and elegant, one of the most underrated cities in Italy and Europe. First capital of Italy with amazing baroque architecture, home to many top Italian brands, food to die for and wines from the region of Piemonte (Piedmont) that will make you fall in love with this beautiful Northern Italian city.
Turin's boulevards and big squares, such as Piazza Castello and Piazza San Carlo, are full of spectacular baroque buildings and old cafes. Nearby is the Mole Antonelliana, a tower from the 1800s with a giant spire that houses the National Cinema Museum. I'm travelling around the country for three months and will be bringing you videos weekly

@@ducasabin Venezia è una citta-museo con pochissimi veri abitanti, Roma cerca di unire la città-museo con la città vera e propria (capitale, poi) e fallisce malamente, mentre Firenze è abbastanza piccola e il suo centro è un vero museo a cielo aperto tenuto bene. Direi che ogni storia è a sé e i paragoni lasciano il tempo che trovano. Forse Torino, tra le grandi città "vere e proprie", è tra le migliori.

As always, everyone forget the Egyptian museum! It's the second largest in the world after Cairo and it's gorgeous also the real fritto misto alla piemontese use meat and sweet and it's amazing.
No I did not forget about the Egyptian Museum, but I had already been twice only a few months ago, so it will go into the second part of this video which I will make after the summer
Torino is a beautiful city. One of the most under appreciated cities not only in Italy, but in all of Europe.

A very good overview of the city... Cultural additions would have been nice....of: walking the via Roma at night with your loved ones.... Having coffee on the Via Roma... Seeing the statues of the city... the hundreds of them... A view of more of the rustic restaurants...

This is an eccellent video Mark. Really showcase our beautiful city. You should definitely make a summer version of it. Torino hills and river are transformed after May and they glow i emerald highlighting the Baroque Architectures around it. Bravissimo

Great video of Torino. Being a resident in Torino for the past 22 years, I can say that there is also much more to see than was presented, but the video does highlight the key points very well. I appreciate what was said that it is one of the least appreciated cities in Italy and Europe. Not only is Torino a wonderful and beautiful city with tons of culture and history, it is also well located as a launching point to visit some wonderful nearby areas such as Logo Maggiore and Lago d'Orta, the Piemonte wine district such as the village of Barolo; and for those who are outdoor oriented, there is Monviso and many other wonderful parts of the Italian Alps that can be seen on day trips.

Between 1974 and 1983 I spent my study years at the Faculty of Medicine and got to know Turin very well , especially the older innercity area.
then in 2018, on a return visit
the inner city is much the same, except for rationalization of the Tram system, but the outer city ( "suburbs") have much enlarged. And new modern tramways criss cross the outer areas.
Hope to visit again old haunts and old friends as well.
