The more I watch this show, the more I feel the nostalgic vibes of Batman The Animated Series. The production design is a sort of composite of modern and classic, the city being its own character, the perfect gothic dark image of Arkham Asylum gate, the unusualness of Oswald's home life, the dash of delightful camp in some performances(Nygma, Moroni). And Harvey's fedora and insistence on the importance of "LUNCH TIME!"
Laura Zaetz I agree. The series had a film noir element yet it really caredd about its characters both ally and villain. I love how some of the villains backstories were fleshed out making them humans with foibles instead of 2D characters. Batman was a stern figurehead of justice but he tempered it with mercy.

Just dead on likeness to her absolutely. I hope carmen does get to stick with the batman franchise for quite a number of years. I can really see does open for her if she does.I wouldn't be a bit surprised if carmen does get to work with Pfeiffer at some point wether if it's in the gotham show or in an entirely different film our tv project. Funny how bicondova talks about Pfeiffer and Pfeiffer hasn't said word one about her yet.

oh man, did they ever nail the casting for Selina Kyle, that girl looks a significant amount like a young Michelle Phiefer, and she's doing a good job.
This is my new favorite show next to game of thrones and Spartacus. It has an amazing cast amazing story and the coty of Gotham looks gorgeous. Frickin love this show.

I enjoyed this interview. Its great to see well acclaimed actors yielding to each other and working with each other. Sacrificing who you may be for the sake of the show and fans. (Donal Logue I'm a huge fan and you speak well)
OMG!!! This is how I remember David Mazouz!!! He has grown up now! Soon he will be a husband, a father and a grand daddy himself! I cannot believe I am getting older with him! LOL!!! I came here searching for how David was cast as Bruce. Would love to know the details. I was in awe of him when I watched the TV series TOUCH. Someone saw great potential in him and looookkkkkk!!!!! He is living it! Amazing talent!

Probably the most interesting part about it is that only Jada, Robin and Cam Cam were known before this show. Everyone else was newer and people didn't know what to expect.
Um, people barely knew Camren as an actress 😂😂 And everyone knew about David, he's been in several popular films

2022: Yes Gotham is gone but throwback in 2014, that was the year when Gotham series had started and Bruce Wayne then teen actor David Mazouz & Selina Kyle teen actress Carmen Bicondova were not yet close friends. After 5 years together in Gotham, they became attached with each other and reportedly dating since today.

First of all I gotta say, you come off as an old geezer stuck in the past and willfully blind of the present. How many times per day do you get angry at the "kids these days" walking on your lawn? Look at your own words.. "His favorite Batman is Christian Bale?!" Is the kid not allowed to have his own favourite? Or are just jealous that at age 13, this "kid" is already having a more successful career than you will ever have. And btw any Batman fan could easily make a case for Christian Bale being the best to depict Batman. He's easily better than George Clooney and Val Kilmer. I don't think you're going to make a case for them. IMO he's far better than the absurdly campy portrayal by Adam West. I really don't think you're going to try to make that case unless you're that much of an old geezer. Adam West is better as a Family Guy character. And finally of course, no doubt Michael Keaton did an amazing job and it's very close between him and Christian but I would give Christian Bale the edge. I can't stand ignorant people like you who are so stuck in the past and always complaining about "kids these days". So annoying. It's 2014. Get over it.
