- Come and join us for day 3 on board the Carnival Mardi Gras for our first ever cruise! In this vlog we enjoy a full day at sea and take you along for a full tour of the ship. This includes checking out the various different dining options throughout Mardi Gras, along with taking a look around the shops, gym and other areas of this fantastic ship. We then enjoy a spectacular stage show followed by a silent disco!

One good thing about being on a cruise is that it gives you the opportunity to push your culinary boundaries. Maybe explore the other food options & you never know you might find a new food you like. (it doesn't have to be fine dining to eat something other than chicken nuggets,burgers & pizza)

We like to stay pretty basic as that’s what we enjoy whilst on holiday!
It absolutely does not push your culinary boundaries. All the food comes from one kitchen and it's all terrible.

Really enjoying these cruise vlogs. It’s looks like you all had a grand time. Cruising is really fun. Have you all ever seen a behind the scenes documentary on cruise operations? It always amazes me the man power it takes to operate those ships. They always work so hard behind the scenes and you never really notice what it takes for them to run those ships while you are on it.

Being on our three night Disney cruise in April we didn’t get the opportunity to explore the ship. This was a great video in that regard. You had some many food options than we had. You definitely weren’t calorie counting in this trip. Charlotte is quite the ice cream aficionado. Very impressive cornet. 😂. This is a great ship. So many different lounges. Lovely Carnival merch in the store. In-fact there was so much more shopping options than we had. My wife would have been in her element on board. 😂 And another great show and not so silent disco in Charlotte’s case to end the night with.

Just remember that you’ve cruised in/around hurricane season, I cruised around the med last year and barely felt any movement, don’t let it put you off doing another cruise!
It definitely hasn’t put us off and we’ll be booking more in the future!

That candy per 1/4 lb is really expensive! I had to convert everything to kilos and swedish krona to get an idea of price. Maybe it's luxury candy, and it is on a cruise, but here, in an ordinary store, it usually costs a 1/4 of that.
That silent disco is great! But for those without headphones it's far from silent! 😂🤣😂

So the tip package I believe you purchased Shawn will go towards all the workers across the ship, the cleaners (not just your specific room cleaner) etc. So in a way, it’s good that they have the packages available as the tips will get split fairly!
If you two weren’t eating like kings & queens I’d have been sorely disappointed lol! I’d be carrying around a tea trolley, storing all the food from all over me 🤣 That’s one of the biggest bonuses of a cruise isn’t it?! The beautiful food & all you can eat! I KNEW you’d go back for that s’mores cupcake Shawn, haha!
That’s my biggest worry if I ever go on a cruise, not sure how I’d cope with any rocky waters. I know it’s not quite the same, but travelled across to France on a ferry with my parents when I was 14 in November many moons ago.. oh dear gosh, I’ve never been so poorly. Never even OCCURRED to me I could get seasick! That put me off ever going anywhere on water again. The only relief I had back then was getting as low to the water as possible, which was where the cars were stored, higher up you are the more it rocks! I’m glad Charlotte is ok & isn’t suffering too terribly!
What’s the medical assistance on board like? Do they have a first aid room or anything? Just curious!

Just discovered your Channel Love your videos! I''m going on the Mardi Gras this year. I'm so excited! I've never been on a Cruise Ship this large. I get sea sick also and my advice would be to get the Scopolamine Transdermal Patch from your Doctor. It's round and goes behind one ear and lasts for 3 days and is waterproof. Just put on another patch after 3 days. I also get the non-drowsy Dramamine and take one when I wake up and one before bed. I never get drowsy using both. Looks like y'all had a fabulous time!

We only went to the buffets and also other quick service options however could have gone to the dining room if we wanted!

Yes, if feeling yucky Sea sick, better to be outside and watching the Horizon in the distance ( where the sea meets the sky). It gives the view of flatness ...thus fooling the brain.

At sea days are fun, but I prefer port days. On my at sea day on this past cruise I took, I won $37 at the casino off a $1 game. It was fun, but I can understand why gambling gets addictive. I also ice skated for the first time in 19 years.
Eat a granny smith apple to help with sea sicknesses also i would try royal caribbean cruises as well. They have some amazing ships and shows as well.

24:06 Pepsi updated their logos and is phasing out their old logos that been in use since 2008. So that is why Pepsi Zero Sugar is showing the 2008-2023 logo while Diet Pepsi is showing the newly released logo. It will be a little while before the new Pepsi logo reaches the UK on their packaging and in Canada, but it should get there within the next several months. The US packaging always get the new logos first since Pepsi and Coca Cola are American companies.

So I have a question... At time stamp 38:13-38:15 is that a turtle I see in the water? (Towards the bottom of the screen in the center and towards the left.) At first I thought maybe it was the white caps from the waves but after stopping the video and looking closer, it looked like it might be a turtle. Just wondered if y'all happened to see it. Fine Dining !!?? Little tale. The Trackers went to the most expensive Disney restaurant a few years ago, before Covid. It was something like $200 for a plate of simple small portioned food..... probably $300 now, given how prices have risen post Covid. Total bill must be over a $1000 and then you have to pay the 18% Gratuaties.
We would never pay that for food, we like to keep it basic!

I can say from my own experience that being on a cruise ship is definitely different than a roller coaster. Even when I used to not get nauseous on flat rides, I got a little sea sick my first cruise.

Yes, all cruise lines I've been on have a basic WiFi that lets you use the app and then a paid WiFi to go beyond that
