Hi Cami, I completely understand how vulnerable you must have felt talking about your faith. I’m Catholic and I’ve endured some pretty awful hate. It’s like being attacked at my very soul. What people don’t understand is that it was my faith that introduced me to Jesus, and through the practice of my faith, I fell madly in love with Jesus.I can see your love for Jesus Christ. It shines through.

Cami, you are a lovely, kind, intelligent, and thoughtful woman. You are a credit to your faith, and I deeply respect your church. I am Catholic, and can honestly say that in all my decades of Catholic Church attendance, I have never once heard a priest or deacon discredit or insult another religion, never. You may not know this, but many people do not consider Catholics Christian, either ( I am always asked, "Are you a Christian or a Catholic?"). We are sisters in Christ, and I love your values.

No. I'm sorry, but it isn't that wifty or kumbaya ish. We are not speaking of the same Jesus here. Mormons do not believe that Christ is one with God. They do not believe in the Trinity, the inerrancy of Scripture ( the Bible only), nor is Christ's sacrifice sufficient for our justification before God. I'm sorry but that difference is MASSIVE. Please read what the tenants are of the Christian faith and Mormonism. It's not that I'm hating on Cami or anyone for that matter. But, if I'm going to be true to Christ, I need to correct what has been said here.

Thank you for explaining it to us. I was raised Baptist and then First Assembly of God. I believe in the word of God. That once you are saved( You accept Jesus as your savior and confess your sins) you are a child of God. And that you will go to heaven and be with Jesus one day. I know a lot of religions think there are many ways to get to heaven. But Jesus is the only way. It seems that you believe all of this to. Love you Cami and so enjoy your channel and blog. It actually is beautiful to to see you speak on your faith. It is actually modern church that threw away the main things like young marriage as the norm, virginity until marriage, obedience, submission and honor to husband, being a keeper of the household, gentle and soft spirit. So those who lived their lives in ways that go against what was advised to them, as expected, are discontent, irritated and therefore sarcastic towards anything that is different from modern church. But what is good, what is fulfilling is timeless. So it is okay to politely not take their sarcastic words to the heart and instead continue to live one's own blessed life with a soft, thankful heart.

@simplehealthyliving1481....I'm not exactly sure what your main point is about the LDS Church, but saying that the only thing that matters is marrying young, keeping yourself pure and being a woman that honors the home as a homemaker/wife is not the main issue here. What is the main thing is that the Mormon religion wants people to believe that it's a sect of Christianity. This is not true, unfortunately. Scripture tells us that God is 3 in one . God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. God is a triune God; omnitient, omnipotent, omnipresent. Jesus is one with God, not our elder brother ( which the Mormons teach). Jesus was born for a purpose which was planned before the beginning of time. He was to become the second Adam through a miraculous birth, live a sinless life and fulfill the law, and die the death for those whom the Father has chosen, descend into hell, rise again , ascend to heaven and is now seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come back to judge the living and then the dead. Some for glory, others for hell....this is for eternity. Please search Scripture vs what Mormons, Jehovah witnesses and other cults teach. Ultimately, God knows the heart of man and will not be mocked.

Hi there! Happy Mother's Day to you. So, your video was shared in a group by a friend of yours because she was proud of you answering your question about your faith. She told us what minute mark you did this at and to watch that portion. I opened it and kept it on a tab for a few weeks, I think. I lost track of time. So, I didn't remember what minute mark it was at; then had to watch it all. I am grateful I did because I had no idea there was an on-line herbal class out there. I also love planners and was interested in getting it. However, I know you may not do it due to the economy. I hope things change for you and you get a miracle! I love that you are a homeschooling mother. I am guessing since you built your home you are a homesteader as well. I don't know, but I need to look through your videos. Since this is the first video of yours I am watching.
I want to tell you that you did a great job at addressing this question about your religion/faith. I am someone who grew up in an Evangelical faith. I appreciated you stating and clarifying the nickname, which as a convert to this faith I was so glad we were asked to stop using. It really does cause confusion about whom we worship. I love that you said the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ is either from God or Satan. I actually read it to prove it was from Satan, and found out it was from God.
Thank you for being brave about sharing! I will say to please not worry about what others say about us not being Christians. I have much to say about that, nothing negative, but I am already leaving a novel of a comment. I can't wait to see the video you create about the build of your house. Life goals for me!

Sweet Cami, your lovely heart shines through your videos. It is always a highlight when you post. Your beautiful style and design has inspired our ongoing home remodel ❤
I know how hard it can be to speak about your faith. It takes courage. And, although I have been a born again Christian since the age of 11, I just moved to Utah and have done an almost year long deep dive into the LDS belief. This also led me to do a very deep dive into whether or not the Bible is pure and true.
What I have found Cami is that the Bible is the most accurately preserved ancient book. It has been confirmed by history and archaeology. The translations do not call into question the preservation of the Bible. So when Jesus said in Matthew 24:35, Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. /He meant it. His words have not passed away or been corrupted.
It also means that the LDS beliefs fall under what Paul said in Galatians 1:8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.
The LDS faith is clearly another gospel. I also refer to a post above that speaks of the LDS God & Jesus and the God/Jesus of the Bible. These are two very different gospel messages.
My kind and gentle challenge Cami, is to read the New Testament as a child, with no preconceived ideas....see what God's words says to you.
I wish I could say this in person and give you a hug. It is said with all the love in my heart.

I enjoy your channel & you have a lovely family. I wanted to lovingly share why bible believing Christians do not acknowledge LDS to be biblical & not Christian. To be Christian is to believe everything the Word of God ( only the 66 books of the cannon of scripture ) to be the inspired Word. Jesus Himself claimed to be God incarnate. He claimed to be the only way & truth. He took our sins upon Himself ( being perfect & God ) and also took the wrath we deserve for sinning against a holy God. He rose again the 3rd day as an assurance we too will have eternal life who fully trust in Him alone. LDS does not believe Jesus is the Son of God, the Creator Himself in flesh. This is what Christ claimed, therefore you cannot identify with someone you do not fully believe to be who He says He is. Gods word also strictly warns of adding to or removing any words to scripture, and the book of mormon is doing just that. I’m sharing this to clarify a bit more the other view, & also in hopes you will discover who Christ really is. Our eternal salvation is at stake, if we do not believe and obey His Word from a desire of the new life in Him. We cannot earn Gods favor, He accomplished all for us in His Son through the Holy Spirit who opens our eyes to the gospel & regenerates our hearts.

Good questions and answers! Your devotion to the teachings of Jesus shines through in your daily life that you share with us! ALL followers of Jesus Christ must unapologetically exclaim our faith as we are faced with unprecedented darkness. If we fight and argue with each other, we lose sight of the enemy. Doctrinal differences only serve to divide and conquer, an old tactic of Evil. "As man is, God once was. As God is, man may become." That single sentence is the crux of much disdain for the LDS faith. In the past, mainstream assimilation was to be avoided and I know that is changing somewhat. But if we Christians stand shoulder to shoulder, we shall not falter in these latter days. Every single follower of God is needed, right now. Thank you Cami for your beautiful words and tender heart. 🤍

  • @cynthiafisher9907
    @cynthiafisher9907 Před rokem +11

Hey Cami, I’m glad you finally got up the courage to talk about your faith. I have known for a long time you are LDS, just by a few things you have said here and there. I’m sorry you have had what you consider criticism of your faith to the point you feel reticent to bring it up. I know what that feels like, as I have had that happen as well.
First of all, let me say, I can tell you are very sincere in your devotion to your church and to God. I realize the LDS leaders are encouraging the members to believe and tell others that they are Christians. I’m not sure if you are old enough to remember when that was not the case, quite the contrary, actually. One reason for this is that the LDS beliefs about Jesus and the nature of God are very different from what the Bible teaches and what Christians believe. The LDS church believes that there are many gods and, in fact, man may become a god, and God was once a man. The Bible teaches that there is one God who has existed from all eternity, He has no beginning and no end. The LDS church believes that Jesus and Lucifer are brothers, the Bible teaches that Jesus is the eternal God robed in flesh and that the fullness of the godhead dwelled in him, bodily. The Bible also teaches that Lucifer was a created being who fell in pride and sin and was expelled from heaven and now is the enemy of God and man. There are many other beliefs that are also diametrically opposed as well.
One reason it seems that the LDS church is a Christian Church is because we have similar words we use, like “grace” and “atonement” and “salvation”, among many others. The thing is, these words mean very different things in the LDS church than they do to Christians. I know it’s hard for LDS people to understand sometimes what the differences are, but they are very profound differences to Christians and exclude the LDS church from being considered a Christian religion.
As you encouraged your viewers to explore your belief system, I also would encourage you to become curious enough to watch some of the channels on CZcams that explain the differences more adequately than I can.
I love that you are such a sweet and devoted mom and wife and homemaker and I love your channel! I follow channels of people with varying belief systems and can appreciate much of the content regardless.

I agree. The bottom line is... if you came up to a car accident and the dying person asks you how to go to Heaven. A saint will have to say you can go to the lesser one but there's not enough time for you to do all you have to obtain exaltation.
A Christian will tell the dying man, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. Jesus is the only way to God, and just believing won't get your sins washed away because the devil believes also. You must mentally fall down at the cross and ask Him to save you.

Hi Cynthia!! I truly enjoyed pouring over your comment to me. I do think for the majority of my upbringing I didn't understand these differences very well. After all, you don't know what you don't know! I have so appreciated friends and others sharing their faiths online helping me understand and causing me to dig deeper into my beliefs and the beliefs of the church I belong to. It's been such a faith testing and strengthening thing for me. I'm impressed that you know so much about my faith, and especially appreciate your kindness and willingness to still follow along with me! You've always been such a supporter and I look forward to your comments every video! You definitely hit the nail on the head for the differences of many of our beliefs. In fact, Paster Jeff (the channel I talked about) brings many of these same topics up. I've enjoyed learning deeper about why we believe these things and pouring over the bible to find these teaching and compare them with our modern revelations within our church that clarify many of these things for me. I will always strive to learn and grow more in my faith and appreciate your invitation to continue. Even better than other channels and opinions, I rely on God to guide me to truth - and that is why I stay firm where I have been planted. He does witness to my heart and mind time and time again of the truthfulness of what I believe. The fruits of my faith are so very good, and I am grateful for that. At the same time, I am grateful he blesses so many others no matter what denomination they belong to. In the end, I feel it is our relationship and connection with our Father that is most important. The rest will work itself out! Thank you so much for always popping in and encouraging me, dear friend.

@@bobbiemauk1879 Thank you for sharing your thoughts with me! We actually believe there will be ample time and opportunity for this dying man to learn and accept Christ and the gospel in the after life, should he choose to. All those who have lived and died from the beginning of time and did not have the opportunity to hear and accept Christ and His gospel will. This brings so much peace to us. Hi Cami - It saddened my heart so much to learn that you are Mormon. There are so many religions because man has come up with their own ideas and opinions. God is not a confused God! He doesn’t tell many different ways to go to heaven. There is one God, one heaven and only one way to get there. God makes the rules for us to get there. Following the rules of man is disappointing because they have no heaven to offer in the end. Please, Cami, lay aside the Book of Mormon and read what the Bible teaches which is the word of God, divinely inspired and written. Please read and study this one scripture found in Ephesians 4:4 “ there is ONE body, and ONE Spirit, even as ye are called in ONE hope of your calling, ONE Lord, ONE FAITH, ONE baptism, ONE God and Father of all...”. There is NO CONFUSION IN ONE! Sadly, man has brought into the world all the religious confusion. Cami, I’ll pray for you that God’s Spirit will bear witness with His Word to your heart. Love you!

@@hellomrsjacobsen but, what she wrote, as a Christian, is truth!!! I also shared a comment on this vlog as an appeal to Cami to refrain from saying that Mormonism and Christianity are one and the same because they are not. Now, God only knows the heart of anyone. He sees if we solely we trust in Jesus Christ ALONE for our salvation. That He suffered the penalty for me, descended into hell and rose again and is now sitting at the right hand of the heavenly Father. He will come again to judge everyone. He defeated death. Mormons don't believe that Jesus is God. They do not believe in the triune God. Suffice it to say that there are numerous differences and this may be the time to read it. We're all going to be accountable on judgement Day. It's really unfair for you to say that the above person's comments are unchristian. They couldn't be more in line with who Christ is and what the Christian faith holds to. Cami, if you read my comments on this. I have written 2 others. In truth, I wish that I had been more gracious in my opposition. Please forgive me for that. I pray that you, like myself, having pondered and studied the gospels now believe completely differently from my upbringing as a younger person.

So much ridicule has come to a head lately spurred by Ruby Franke and Jodi Hidebrandt and their extremist beliefs. How does your church deal with this? There are extremists in every religion so it is unfair I believe to lump people into these pigeon holes.
