If your mixing ability is holding you back, you’re not alone. This 7 minute music mixing tutorial will give you a proven strategy used by pro mixing engineers to help get your mixes up to a professional level, and get your music more listens, likes, placements and sales.
This simple strategy helped propel my musical career to 14 gold/records and 8 #1 Billboard Hits, and forever changed the way I approach mixing music and music production. It will also help develop your ear and your critical listening skills.
So what is this proven strategy on getting better mixes?
It’s called the Art of A/B ing. This is where you compare your mix to other commercially released songs, analyze the differences and make adjustments, until your song has the sound and the presence of the song you’re comparing it to.
We break the critical listening session down into 7 parts and show you how to analyze each category, and give you the 3 guidelines for choosing the song to compare your mix to.
And we’ll show you one critical thing you must do before comparing your mixes.
In future videos we'll be going through each of the 7 steps in more detail.

I could just as easily listen to this guy describe lasagna.
LOL. Years ago I wrote an article in Home Recording Magazine comparing pizza to mixing. Maybe I'll do a video on it :)
@@SkyeLabMusicGroup pizza is actually an excellent analogy
65 likes on this? Minga! I'll do a video on "Making Lasagna in Logic Pro". Satisfied?
Please get to the point
probably describe it as watery
The way you put the effects on your voice. Easily the best video I’ve ever seen
Hey Chambers, thanks! I really love this comment!!!!! 😁 More videos coming soon! -Arty
Those words came to mind as well, best video on the internets at least. 🤓

Awesome vid, man! Thank you for sharing your experience
probably one of the top 3 best videos I have ever seen on audio production advice ( And I have watched thousands) Thank you so much for taking the time to share your knowledge.
Arty I just came across your channel today and all I have to say is WOW! I can relate to everything you're teaching. I started mixing back in late 80's on analog of course. Recorded and mixed tons of records for people in my commercial studio. The computer came along and it just wasn't the same for me but now with my kids making music and i'm listening to all these bad mixes I've gotten back in the mix to help them out so to speak but it's different. The sound is not the same but you can achieve great results. Your channel has opened my eyes and given me insightful knowledge on working in the digital realm and it's great to see you're using Logic as well.
Continued Blessings
RD

Awesome tutorial!
Hellyeah best producing advice ever
Great advices, I use the same methods, but one important thing, IMO, is to set the frequency analyzer to RMS reading: it gives you a much better "overall" impression of what's going on, avoiding sudden (and often misleading) peaks...
