DIY: How To Test Bent Or Out-of-round Wheel In Simplest And Quickest Way

- Alloy wheels are prone to getting bent on potholes and curbs. Do you experience steering or/and seat vibration while driving, it is only common to find out some issues related to wheels and/or tires.
There are some effective DIY techniques to examine whether the wheels are out of round/bent or not. However, if you happen to end up with the bare wheels (without tires), you will find this simple and quick technique very useful to examine the condition of the wheel lips by using any smooth level hard surface. Hope it helps somebody out there!

both my fronts are warped YET 2 tire shops that claim they can fix bent wheels say they are not bent.

Just whatched twice more,
On horizontal plus magnify.
My eye sight isn't the best but knowing it's supposed to be bent I see a slight rise and fall, maybe.
Just where are you looking that you see a wobble?
@@bipedalbob it actually wobbles to the left and right but again, you must have good eyes to catch it ...

You don't even have to take them of the vehicle , different method but it's on
CZcams.
If they are on the car you can test with screwdriver or stick positioned near the lip and rotate the wheel. If the distance from the lip to the screwdriver/stick changes significantly there's a buckle/damage.
Those are my wheels. And they're a;so bent.
