    Good calls on the throttle linkages. The Napier Sabre was basically two engines stacked on top of each other. Hearing the stories of the early Typhoon pilots in dealing with the Sabre is quite eye opening. It took a brave man to go into the heat of the war, even braver to do it in a Typhoon.

      It’s a biggie but it’s going together really well. Aiming to get it to Telford for my club display.

    The component on the upper rear part of the engine with linkage is the Coffman Cartridge Starter…………I’m becoming worryingly nerdy about this engine…..😮😂

      Be as nerdy as you like - it’s all part of the hobby 👍

    • @TheModelShed
      @TheModelShed  Před 10 měsíci

      No I don’t think it will be ready - too much to do to the Bismarck and HK 1/32 Lancaster that I’m building for the show.

    I’m surprised that they never actually cured or solved the exhaust leak into the cockpit,so forcing the pilots to wear,oxygen masks for start to finish.

      I’ve heard about that problem - as if flying into battle wasn’t daunting enough.

    Standard colour from the factory for the Napier Sabre was GREEN. Not black unfortunately. Many other colours came to be after an engine overhaul in reference photos I’ve seen.

      Does that include the sabres manufactured by EE?
