Superbird vs Cadillac Auto World Slot Cars and Great Northern train

Model Railroad & Slot Car HO Racing Layout: Xtraction vs 4 Gear Slot Cars in video: Plymouth Superbird Auto World Xtraction vs. Cadillac 1959 Ambulance 4 Gear Auto World. HO Scale Trains in video: Great Northern EMD SDP40 diesel locomotive engines (Athearn) and eight Great Northern passenger cars (Walthers). Claimed to be the most beautiful passenger train in USA. The slot cars are new self-built Auto World Deluxe Pit kits that had to be assembled and painted. The slot cars worked well with no glitches noted so far and were fun to run around the track, they stayed on the track very well going quite fast in speed on the straightaway tracks. The cars had nice range of speeds on the Parma controllers, so they could be slow through the curves and also sprint on straightaways. These two cars are longer than others and often nip each at corners. We do more like "road rally" than race, like the rally races that go the speed limit and winning is to stay on road, not go off and hit the wall or worse, go on the floor. Video is not at all in order or continuous, with only one camera on tripod that was moved around to various view angles during the race and the clips were edited and intermingled.
I built these pit kits myself, so I am satisfied that they are all running well, for hundreds of laps, beyond what is in videos also. The original plan was to use pit kits for parts for older cars that have nice bodies. One pit kit has been used to donate parts, the pickup shoes and springs. But the older cars are still running well yet. So, it was decided to paint the other pit kit bodies and use them on their chassis. Building pit kits also gave experience to better work on all slot cars. Also, the 4 gear and Super III pit kits are a new variety.
