I used to be bonded to my goddaughter in a similar way before her mother and I fell out. We were connected at the hip. Her love and adoration is something I had never felt before or since. It literally made me wanna be a better person. To this day I feel deep sadness when I think about her its like I lost a child.

I can reset to that me and my granddaughter were very close did everything together and because of her mother I haven't seen my granddaughter for 5 years I took it hard to the point I write her letters every week sometimes everyday and I have them in a shoe box so if I do ever see her again I can give them to her and tell her I never ones forgot about her and she will be 15 the 28th of March I have went and dropped off cards and gave her gifts it really hurts bad she means everything to me and what's sad is her mom knows this and she could careless when school starts I well get her gift cards and a card and take it to her high school and write a letter to her mom and beg her to at least let me talk to her on the phone I can't believe a mother or a father could be that bad to a person but I was ŕaised differed
Idk what happened but I say PLEASE with the bond you shared with your goddaughter don't let your rift with the mom come between that. Life's too short. The mom must have felt something to entrust you to be her child's godparent. I can't break my bond with my God children cause of their parents, or for nobody, no miles, no country, no one! They are mine for LIFE❤
