Parts of Washougal get alot of snow every year

Did they change the regulations for that paper mill? I remember growing up in Battleground, and every time the wind was just right it would smell like a rotten egg fart and we'd all blame Camas.
Thank you for commenting and watching. LOL! That is an accurate description for back in the day...thankfully the mill does not produce paper on a high level anymore and thus no smell. Come on down and give it a smell for yourself!
Hi Hanna, great video! Can you please talk about property taxes on Vancouver, Camas, Washougal. Do they go up as the value of homes go up? Do they have a cap like CA it canโt go up more than 2% every year no matter the value? Do you have property taxes discounts for seniors? Are the city improvements usually increases the property tax? How they let you know if a city improvements builds will be added on your property taxes? Do the residence vote on it?
Hi! Thanks for the great questions. I can answer a few of them but some of them are outside my scope.
Yes, there is a senior/disability tax exemption - clark.wa.gov/treasurer/tax-rates
Not exactly sure what you're asking about regarding city improvements, but new developments surrounding your home will usually increase the assessed value of your property, so yes taxes will go up. I find right now most properties are under valued by the county assessor (you can search here gis.clark.wa.gov/gishome/property/).

Saw an episode of House Hunters in this city. My family are currently living in Snohomish County. Washougal looks like the kind of place to grow old in. ๐
@@Jennbdee I'm heading there in July to go to the Washugal Motocross Race. South Florida is INSANE and I want out one of these days! I need to grow old somewhere like this I think lol South Florida is a RAT RACE
I'm in Florida and we will be flying into Portland for the Washugal Motocross Park race in July. Do you know if the drive from Portland to Washugal is easy? I'm worried about long lines and no where to eat or get gas?
Cool, welcome! That is a very popular spot that draws people from all over the country. The drive from PDX to Washougal will only take you 15-20 minutes, its easy and good unless its afternoon rush hour in which case youll be stuck on the bridge for a bit. There are plenty of gas stations and restaurants in Washougal, Camas, and East Vancouver so don't worry too much!
Moving to Orchards, WA next month from Portland! Any thing I should know? ๐
