Why does it sound like you play on steel strings, but on the videos you always play a guitar (seemingly) with nylon strings? Not trying up nerd around, just curious.
haha!!good question..i was in Marroco with Loy to rehearsal for a concert i had brought my nylon guitar for this.and we had the idea to shoot some footage for the clip ...but without my steel guitar stayed in Paris...
L'utilisation du ghembri est extrêmement limitée dans ce morceau. Il ne reflète ni la fougue ni la force de cet instrument du Maroc. Dommage qu'il soit utilisé uniquement comme une base et le musicien a peur de l'utiliser vraiment ce qui suppose qu'il ne le maîtrise pas (exemple il touche la plume de faire à l'extrémité du ghembri avec ses mains pour la faire vibrer alors qu'il doit le faire avec les cordes s'il savait jouer). Dommage
