- 5 tips for caring for Strelitzia Nicolai | How to save Strelitzia Bird of Paradise from dying
This video is a follow up of the previous Strelitzia video:
• Strelitzia Nicolai Bir...
When I had a lot of problems, and asked for tips to save it. I tried many things and got some success from it. I want to talk about what I did, and also show you how the plant is doing today.
As always thank you for watching. - Jak na to + styl
Thank you so much for this video and the previous one!!!
I watched so many other videos that were too general and confusing, but you were the only one who helped solve the problem my girls were experiencing.
Others also mention lightning, but you touched the point that a slight change in lightning, especially in the winter when the sun is already so “weak” in Scandinavian countries, will cause this sort of browning.
I moved mine from the window just 4 meters away, still receiving direct sunlight at times, yet that seems to have caused severe browning that wouldn’t stop no matter what I did (all the steps you tried in the previous vid). When I moved them back, they finally stopped browning and even new growth started.
Thank you!!
This plant needs high room humidity. Trays with rocks and water do not raise humidity, if your room is dry guys this plant will not survive or it will have cripsy leaves. Also you water a plant after you've checked the plants soil.
7 like beautiful video my friend very inform information , Great channel. Hello from USA have a great week
Thank you! You too😀
Hi Shara! Aww I hope the bird of paradise bounces back well. Yes, these plants like lots of light.☀️I placed mine outside last year and it grew really fast.
They are doing really well now. I am so happy for new shoot. Today I noticed there is one more new shoot coming 😀😃. Sun is really important for them to grow ☀️🌞😃
@@sharanyein3466 mines is sooooo bad. Is it possible to bring it back. I also have a Madagascar Dragon plant and it’s so bad the stick is empty a large amount of it. Also my money tree isn’t doing so well. I’m so sad I been trying to bring them all back. Should I cut off all the lifeless parts ? Like the stick on the dragon plant and the leafs on the paradise ? Please help idk what to do 😞
@@Kenken77733The money tree likes bright indirect light, but the sunlight coming thru the window will burn the leaves. Mine is right up next to a north window and is doing well.
awesome 😍😍
Have a wonderful day 💝💝💝💝💝
Hey Shara! I put my strelitzia outside and all of the leaves seem to be dead... although there is some green on them mostly they are brown and wrinkled up... Not the plant doesn't grow new ones even though I've pruned a few, what should I do? Cut off all the leaves? Thanks!
Hi Oliver, those sunburn leaves never gonna be better again, better cut them off. Just keep your plant next to the window where they can get plenty of sun and give water once a week, and be patient. They will thrive again 😃 good luck❤
Thank you for the video..very helpful. I got the same plant a week back from Home Depot. I am confused should i put it in front of the window which gets direct sun? should i put any fertilizer slow release or liquid fertilizer now or wait. I dont know what home depot did?
Hi Shweta, Sterlitzia like plenty of sun so that you can keep it in front of the window. For the fertilizer i suggest wait about 1 month because we dont know what nusery shop have done with plants :) and dont water for a week too just to avoid overwatering :)
@@sharanyein3466 thanks for your advice :)
