- Hey guys! I wanted to thank @66Samus for reacting to my drumming the other day and I decided to make this video in order to answer some of the questions that were asked as well as to take this opportunity to test some of my equipment for audio and video recording.

Your explanation of halfing the hi hat notes is the exact reason I’ve always played broken up patterns on cymbals live it’s easier to count for the entire band plus to me it adds some extra tech vibes as opposed to just a straight flying fingers or push pull sound
Eugene "The Machine" I think I have seen all his videos ... Currently, for me, he is one of the most extreme and technical metal drummers in this fucking world!!!

Totally agree about hi-hat quarter or half notes vs 16th or 32nd (at fast tempos) and keeping track on stage as a guitarist. Way easier to get lost in the flurry of sizzle if your monitoring isn’t perfect.
0:39 huge respect already at the start of the video. 8:57 210bpm isn't hard... WHAT?! You're a beast Eugene, you sound calm and better spoken here too it's awesome. I think it's because usually I just hear you speaking about drum techniques and since you have so much knowledge you just talk fast to fit everything. Also drop the skin care routine pls 😂

What I meant about 8:57 210bpm being not too hard is that it's not as extreme as the fast Belphegor, Fleshgod stuff.
I am calm cause I recorded it yesterday on the evening and I was a bit tired. + I did it at home. Comfy. If I will do live Q&As which I plan to do - this is how I will do them.
I don't have any skin care routine actually. I am just lucky to have pretty good genes I believe.

Last time I struggled with a double basse at 180 bpm. As a casual drummer yet dedicated I felt desperate at seeing Eugene playing on CZcams. Yet, seeing you admitting you struggle at your level gives me hope. Thx for everything you're just an awesome inspiration for me
I started drumming way too late to ever get to this level, I spent my formative years playing guitar but I still take inspiration from these videos to just do a better job, operate at a higher level - no matter what I'm doing. So even for casual drummers, non drummers there's still a lot to take away, including some awesome music. Congrats on 50k subs I just noticed that.

Discovered Samus through his vid trying out the new carbon axis footboards, and have Eugene to thank for my kick technique, getting me to speeds I never thought possible, so to now see them together like this just warms the cockles of my heart.

Yeah, it's a very young dude, Greg sometimes refers to him as his "son" as a joke. Will has very weird sense of humor in his videos. A lot of hidden dirty jokes that he keeps telling with a stone face. It's hilarious.

I think Anthony got that "solo" pretty close to the original. Very accurate. So I basically took his version as the "tabs".
