That's awesome that he is reading the information on his laptop or someone else's podcast. Rain, falling temps, black ice and heavy wet snow are a recipe for disaster. You can't put down Brine, Sand, or Beet juice as a salt pretreatment because rain just wash it away. Falling temps below freezing with tons of wind instant ice skating rink. At that point it's hopeless, salt trucks sliding everywhere, people travelling and not knowing the forecast and possibility of heavy snow and treacherous conditions. Biggest problem might be motorists who have never seen snow let alone attempt to drive in deep snow. Snow 2-3" inches an hour is normal in the mountains and northern states but in areas that see snow every 2-3 years it's problematic. Have a winter survival kit in your car/trunk etcetera: jumper cables, extra blanket or 2, zero degree mummy sleeping bag in case you are highway camping, breakfast bars, lots of water/gatorade to drink or share with others.

Yes! And the moral of the story, DON’T GO OUT ON THE ROAD IF IT’S NOT NECESSARY. I wish more people took this seriously.

Oh but how BEAUTIFUL IT WAS, if you want to see it! It looked like a picture postcard when it was done!

I remember when I lived in that area, there was a snowstorm and they closed the university. What was strange to me is it wasn’t that bad a storm. I had lived through worse conditions in Chicago and things didn’t close. This seemed too much for an area not used to such storms.

I flew out of Reagan on Monday evening. My flight was not cancelled, which was surprising. I had an AWD SUV as a rental. Thank goodness, because I needed it to get to the airport.

For real? Snow in the winter? What's next hot summertime's? If only man could control the climate we could go back to the hot dry winters of yesteryear.

The real reason those drivers got stranded is because they were too stupid to stay home...

Well, we must be twisting every new story to be about climate catastrophe, unvaccinated unmasked people and despair.
Funny thing is, the only way out of this is to taxation and redistribution of wealth.
