Didn't really have time to fully edit so I'm sorry about some of the errors
I don't rate albums, but if I did this would be either an 8 or a 9.

Oddly enough, I listened through this album yesterday and really loved it! Escapism was already a great song and the album certainly matches this. Black Mascara is also up there as one of my favorites

I've been reviewing music since 2019 and I've never given out a perfect score till I hear this it's a perfect 10/10 for me, the amount of emotion on the album. My favourites were Escapism, Ice Cream Man, Environmental Anxiety and Hard Out Here. My least favourite is also Flip A Switch it isn't bad just pretty basic compared to the rest.
I also did a deep dive into Raye's back catalogue and it's fine but I can try it wasn't the music she wanted to make.

I thought Raye was just an anonymous pop vocalist on the lines of Becky Hill and Ella Henderson.
I was INTENSELY WRONG.
I may not return to her music much but I respect the hell out of it, and hopefully this continues the conversation about the industry and agency that artists (especially female artists) have over their music.
