- Oyumaru is a reusable modelling compound that can be used to make moulds (molds in U.S. spelling) and textures/stamps. Here I show you how I have been using it and give you an honest review.
This is NOT a sponsored video.
Oyumaru is available from Clayaround in the UK (I said England but actually it is in Wales, oops!)

Thanks so much for this video! Didn't know this stuff existed, I was just about to buy some $50 reusable mould maker because it was all I could find, but this is only $11 on Amazon! And since my crafting/hobby budget is very minimal, that's a significant difference! Love your channel :)
Lovely demo! Glad you're having fun with the new car! The camera/ phone works well...... ! And I love the zombie Shakespeare reference! 😄
This is sooo timely. I had seen a demo of this product some time ago and was reminded of it again after seeing a video using another compound to make texture sheets. However, I couldn't remember the name of Oyumaru, was trying to figure out how in the world I would find it again. And here you are demonstrating it!! Well met, Unruly!
Always love your product review demonstrations. Congratulations for the new camera and car.
wow I love the idea of it being reusable. Sitting here listening to the much needed rain. The video from your new phone is bright and the sound is great. Off to Amazon I go to find some Oyumaru. xXxX
Great video as always Valerie, thanks so much for the really useful info :)
Glad your back.
Love you back
Oh cool! Have fun with it! xx
I’ve never heard of this so I wouldn’t have known what to do with it. Thanks for the info and it’s something to bear in mind.
I bought some of this a while ago then totally forgot the name or how to use it ... LOL ... your nails are lovely ! Enjoy your weekend (and your car !) xx
I love this stuff. I got some interesting impressions from the soles of shoes. Wavy ridged cardboard packaging is good too; croissants from Waitrose, or toasties from Costa Coffee.
Oooh, great ideas! xx
Lovely example Val, congrats on your car and camera
Thanks! Now Dave has passed his test it seemed a shame NOT to. :)
Great video!!!! Have a fab weekend. Have to order from Clayaround now
love you too Val!
its ordered, I got a package of clear breads.
Haha! Yay! xx
Since months I am thinking about if I should buy this or not. Now I saw it and know I will buy it. I have a very nice Buddha head. Maybe it will get a Zombie Buddha? :-) I will try and give my best.
Haha! Oh no, not a Zombie Buddha! LOL xx
❤️
does its edges wear down quickly? also glad to see you back! glad your doing well
Thanks! I don't know... it feels really strong.
Poor Shakespeare - face down in the tutorial mud! Always!
That's neat. Kind of like when I melt HDPE to make molds with. Was the resin hard to get out though? I haven't had an issue getting cured resin out with HDPE. Also can't melt HDPE in hot water - I use my clay oven. I still like my home made gelatin reusable mold stuff best for a DIY and Oomoo best for something purchased. :D - Heidi
Ooh, I will check those out! xx
I get my HDPE from gallon (and 1/2 gallon) milk jugs as well as the plastic coffee cans and other product packaging. Just look for the HDPE on the bottom. :) It is pretty hard/rigid when it sets which is why I do the DIY reusable gelatin/glycerin one because that one is flexible but while strong enough it is not as strong as the liquid silicone which is why I also use the Oomoo. *laughs*
I've been trying to find a mould for wings with no success. Where did you get yours from?
Metal Clay Ltd. in the UK. xx
Thanks ever so much! xo
