You’d be surprised. I have lots of clients with tangly porous hair.
After colour/highlights are completely rinsed out, fully saturate hair with conditioner and carefully detangle. If you’re struggling add more conditioner.
Once all tangles are removed. Then shampoo and tone.

It would be a block colour instead starting from a clear line separating the dark from the blond
