  • Murray River Trails Managing Director Tony Sharley says following the highest river levels in 66 years, the significant floods last year rejuvenated the environment, transforming the South Australian Riverland into a "flourishing" ecosystem.
"Fish are breeding, yabbies are breeding, bird life has bred," he told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
"It's brought new life to the inland."

Eventually, Australia will be like that again. Not in our lifetimes though. 😀

Water and carbon dioxide makes things grow, who would have thought ?

for every gram sugar(glucose), cellulose, lignin is produced by photosynthesis, 1.47 grams co² from the air is extracted through stomata in the leaves. Water is used for the purpose of complimenting these molecules and to flush out 2 O split from Co² the products are
      C6 H12 O6 glucose suga
      C5 H10 O5 cellulose plant fiber
and lignin compression resisting fiber (last 2 form wood)
and finally 1 oxygen atom for every co² molecule is split off ( oxygen o2 we breathe )
In every m³ of air 0.49 grams of co² are part of the air (400 ppm)
These are the numbers you can measure.

      Lets remark
co² is split to oxygen , so we can breathe.
If we sequester co², plants stop growing and we eventually asphyxiate.
      who would have thought?

Funny how they are "reintroducing" terms like La Nina instead of "CLIMATE CHANGE". Next thing you know, people may learn about the ENSO and the PDO, solar cycles and how the environment "responds" to these factors.
ENSO - El Nino - Southern Oscillation
    PDO - Pacific Decadal Oscillation
Oscillate - To swing back and forth between two points with a steady, uninterrupted rhythm

You lost me at 'people may learn'. I'm a bit of a meteorology nerd, but trust me, no one is going to investigate the actual data.

    • @random2829
      @random2829 Před rokem +1

@@chadjcrase Yah, that is sad that people will not investigate the data - but maybe they can learn about the cycles. I was taught about El Nino when I was in sixth grade. And that was in a Louisiana public school. I guess I still have some hope that people will become self-educated at some point in their lives. 😀
