You missed the color , Yellow color is mixed to give uniform color , as butter made by different milk has different shades of white so yellow makes standard color.

That depends on the quality of the milk, plus this video is showing how to make cheese
Amul adds yellow colour to imitate butter made with cow milk, which is the standard internationally. Other brands like Britannia and Mother Dairy don't add any colour and the butter is naturally yellow as they only use cow milk while Amul uses mixed buffalo and cow milk. Buffalo butter is white while cow butter is yellow.

It is a know fact that they use carrots or turmeric or annato in the butter industry. Because only in the spring/summer that cows eating grass produces a yellower milk. The rest of the year they have to add color.

@@mytravls no I am 27.. the thing is in south we have local unions like mother dairy similar to amul .. and Amul started their plant in south india 2018,.
Most of us get milk from local milk vendors and we get our ghee or kova products from our native villages which are 100-300 km around hyderabad.. same with chennai and Bangalore ppl as well..
Bread butter jam became a Trend when moms got busy on makeups etc.. before that mosh of them cooked food everyday (infact 3 times a day) and so we have never seen Amul Product in hyderabad .. now I may find in more or reliance fresh , dmart etc .. but till 2011 the local stores never carried Amul

I think I am the greatest fan of amul butter. I eat half kg in 10-15 days alone. Whenever I go abroad I carry amul butter. I hate other butter even Swiss butters coz they do not have perfect salt and creaminess like amul butter. In fact I had a fight with my friend over this issue.. I argued that amul is best. When I went to abroad for studies the only thing I asked from mom to sent kababs and butter. However, now it seems that they have changed something in amul butter. It is less salty and creaminess is less. It is becoming more like European butters.. Like plugra, light butter n lupark... They are light but less tastier..

Yeah even I noticed that... it is less salty & less creamy nowadays. Also, when on high temperature it has an uneasy smell almost like burning animal fat or smthng.... I think there's smthng fishy going on with amul butter, earlier it was not like that.
