BTS are producers, songwriters, rappers, singers, dancers. They have strong vocals, good lyrics, incredible music videos, a storyline. There is no other band as them (in kpop or in western bands).
Everyone will have their own opinions. But no one can deny BTS’s talent. Tho as a multistan I definitely feel like there are other underrated groups who are also incredibly talented- like Stray Kids who, similar to bts, are singers, dancers, rappers, producers, songwriters, and talk abt with important subjects in their lyrics. But like I said, it’s all about opinion. No one has a right or wrong opinion.
@@azdawn264 Stray Kids is literally 2 years old when BTS is 7. And Stray Kids is from big3, while BTS was a from a small agency near bankruptcy. When I say there is no one like BTS, I mean it. It's not just about opinions, it's about achievements too. BTS has done what never has done before. That doesn't mean the other groups are bad. The careers and the journeys are just not comparable.
I get what you mean . BTS is my ult and I love them with my whole heart. They HAVE achieved so much, and they deserve the fame they have. Stray kids is also one of my favs, and you are right: the groups are so different that comparing them is impossible. I was not trying to compare them, and I’m sorry if it came out that way. I simply wanted to show my appreciation for an under appreciated group. Nonetheless, they are all talented. I hope you understand what I meant. Tbh I probably shouldn’t have brought up another group under a BTS vid. Sorry :)
Also I just wanted to mention, with no ill intention, that talent doesn’t rlly have anything to do with what company your from. It’s true, BTS went through so much shit bc the position they were in, but talent alone has nothing to do with all that jazz. They are extremely talented, and not bc they came from a small company. a lot of ppl have overlooked skz’s talent bc they are under jyp, and whether You are from a big companY or a small one shouldn’t matter: passion, dedication, and talent are what should matter.
@@azdawn264 Don't worry too much, it's okay. Personally, I don't really see the point of talking about others groups here, but I suppose it's not a big deal. BTS made their own way, and I hope your other groups favs will be doing good too (even if i don't think that Stray kids is underrated at all for a 2yo group). I'm not a kpop fan at all, i just stan BTS, but I informed myself about the industry. Talent and effort doesn't mean success, it's a fact. I'm not interest in Stray Kids so I don't know about their talents, but you can't deny that they are privileged. It's not a bad thing tbh. And I'm sure they worked for that. But it's just how the industry work, and that's kinda sad.

The one who is fluent in english is RM. He's the leader. Leader does not mean "main guy". There is no one "main guy" or front man in BTS. Being a leader is a real job - he has to act as mediator amongst the members if they get in arguments or speak up for the group if there are any conflicts with their agency. He's basically the captain of their team and makes sure everyone has their chance to shine.
Fun fact : John Cena is an army , he also said in an interview that he wants to be BTS's bodyguard lol..His favorite member is Hoseok/Jhope..and also the guy who was saying that he wants to collab with Charlie Puth is Jungkook , and he actually did collab with him..BTS and charlie puth performed live in a korean award show [ MGA 2018 ]..next please react to WHO IS BTS by Xceleste

I also listened to 1D. They're good. But BTS is on another level. They're singers, dancers, and producers. BTS is also very versatile, they do differents genres (rap, rnb, pop, ballad and more)

BTS - dancers, producers, songwriters (often deep and meaningful lyrics), singers, one of the best live performers in the world (if not best, objectively), cover most genres of music
Not really the same league. I think you should watch the video some people already mentioned, "THIS IS BTS (Part 1)" by xCeleste. You will know why they're really different and get to know what the group is all about. I advise you to watch these videos on a bigger screen though, a smartphone is kinda small, harder to notice the details and read subtitles.

@@tpwksammar7303 1D didn't have freedom to do what they wanted due to Simon Coles having complete control of them. So they were bland and boring and didn't even like each other. He threw them together never gave them time to get to know each other and become friends. Didn't give them time to write their own stuff, the freedom to make their own choices on what and how they sang. TBH he acted in many ways just like the major 3 Kpop companies. eg lack of freedom however unlike the kpop he didn't give the boys time to learn new skills. While BTS were given creative freedom, they were given time to develop and grow there skill base and learn how to work together before their debut unlike BTS. The result was D1 ending up as a bland boring boy band that hated each other and split up got out of their contract and become soloist with different companies. Were as BTS work on their own solo projects as well as their group work they have the freedom and talents.
The more u know about the boys the more you know that they have no comparison👍...just enjoy the journey guys😁

Hello! I am here 3 years later to explain the joke! 13:54 Is a reference to when BTS was performing Mic Drop live. The version with Steve Aoki is a remix, and has way more English than the original. They were performing the original but Taehyung, the guy they're trying to make laugh in that clip, accidentally sang the verse from the remix, using the lyric "my hands carry em'" instead of the Korean lyric while they were live on stage

personally as an Army that was once a directioner, I prefer BTS (the same they cannot be compared, they are not alike at all) . Because 1D although I like their music and I love them, I cannot compare them with BTS who taught me to love myself, their music has very good lyrics about self-love and social criticism, and I also feel like I know BTS much more than 1D from Run BTS, BTS Bon Voyage, In The Soop, and they are always doing good things (sorry if something is not understood, use the translator)

To be analytical BTS has more talents. The can raps, sing hip hop, soft ballads, pop, and DANCE. They are more well rounded. Especially with a big disadvantage of not able to speak English but still as huge as they are today is very impressive. To me, I think people not only like BTS for their talents but love them as fun, genuine, social conscious, humble, caring, and very appreciative of their fans. The message of love, acceptance, and unity they spread around the world which is what we all need nowadays.

Yes BTS have been on the billboard charts. They have had 4 number 1 albums (3 in less than a year) on the billboard 200 chart and 4 top 10 songs on the billboard hot 100 with their song Dynamite becoming their first number 1 song. They are also performing on the billboard music awards next Wednesday, it's their 3rd year performing on the show. I'm definitely more a BTS fan. No hate towards One Direction I Iiked their songs, but I only listened to their main singles. I never had the desire to listen to their albums or watch all their interviews like I do with BTS. I know you only mentioned One Direction because they were mentioned in this video, but just for future reference some fans don't like when BTS and One Direction are compared because they are very different groups. I've always said I can understand where people might not like BTS music, but I don't know how people can hate them as people. Their personalities are so infectious, they just always cheer me up when I'm in a bad mood. Thanks for reacting.
I think the subject of who's better depends on the individual and the individual tastes of a person. It's a matter of opinion. I personally am 43 years old and I have NEVER been a fan of any boy groups EVER. I've lived through all the big boy group eras but BTS is just different in my opinion. They break the mold for sure and the world needs more of them. No offense to One Direction fans, but ARMY is the only fanbase I've seen organize so many charitable events and projects in the group's name. From matching the 1 million dollar donation to BLM to adopting animals, donating food and building roads and schools in other countries. These boys inspire their fans to change the world. Their music is deep and meaningful and there is a song to help you no matter what mood you are in or what you are going through. So in my opinion, BTS is the group that was worthy of me making a complete fool of myself and openly fangirling over and I don't fangirl usually ever. My husband thinks it's adorable because fangirling is not in my personality and this is the one thing I've thrown myself into the fandom with. One Direction was not even a blip on the radar for me. To me, again this is only my own opinion, but to me One Direction was good but there is no comparison.
