2024 Boreal Toad Wild Release 🏔️🌿🐸

Exciting conservation news from Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance! Last month, our boreal toad conservation team met up with Colorado Parks and Wildlife to release over 2,200 boreal tadpoles and toadlets into a montane lake in South Fork, Colorado! 🏔️🌿🐸
This conservation effort is crucial for protecting these state-listed Endangered amphibians, who face threats from habitat loss, rising temperatures, and chytrid fungus. This year's breeding and release were a huge success, and we're committed to nurturing these populations for years to come.
