Keltoi is a Manchester-based DJ with a global musical taste that starts somewhere around bossa nova, moves through loads of disco, funk, jazz and Afro-Latin sounds in the middle and ends in the bass-driven global club sounds of baile funk, UK funky and more.
This year Keltoi has been found playing with the likes of Toy Tonics, Mina, Marcus Nasty, and at We Out Here, Manchester International Festival and other spots this festival season.
Alongside Hannah O'Gorman, Keltoi runs Nossa!, a series of Afro-Latin parties pushing for a more varied sound in Manchester. Nossa! are often found mixing up boundaries, playing samba in club sets, bringing Brazilian carnivals to pubs, and exploring new contexts for clubbing by bringing live and interactive elements to their nights.
"I picked a variety of sounds that form some of Wale's musical output from this time that often doesn't get the same attention as our strong, rock, psych, and punk history. In this mix there's dreamy shoegazey synth-pop, brit funk-inspired sounds, new wave, protest psych-rock an acapella track and loads more. "
