good video, very informative, like the transparency, saying you had a problem and had to take it to dealer....
Thanks for the kind words Tommy.
Yo thx for the part numbers very helpful ordered all except brake line and tbw ext. Already had them. Guerilla cables shipped super quick. Bikes looking lit love the risers keep up the mods. Look forward to more updates.
Anytime Jose ! I’m glad it helped. Those extensions are perfect for anything up to 14 inch. Thank you so much for the compliments and for supporting the channel.
Looks nice 🔥
Thank you Jason !
I bled my brakes on my 2021 lowrider s, it took awhile and had to pump pedal to get firmness and and worked fine. I did have to clear abs light but I did that as well.
Damn 280 for a brake flush. HD is nuts. Regarding the mirrors, there are mirror extensions available m, also some from Kuryakyn
What’s up Ron! Yea man 280,I was shocked myself. It’s crazy expensive. Bro I’m so glad you told me about the extensions. It didn’t even come to mind to check. I had ordered stud extensions from Amazon. Thank you greatly for the information.
if you get a heat gun you can use it on the wire cover. I see the ends are a little frayed and spilt. Thats what i did. Nice Bike!!!
Thanks for the tip Raul !! Where did you get your wire cover from? I think I might need to get a new one. Thank you for the kind words as well
@@HardTail-LA I got that Alex tech split sleeve from Amazon 1inch👍👍
How tall are you? I’m currently looking for risers as well
5”11
Harley has mirror risers
I’m assuming you couldn’t get the bottom bushings in all the way either?
I also keep running into issues with my risers twisting. Prob gonna have to take the fairing off to tighten everything down better.
What’s up brotha ! Yup exactly same here. So what I ended up doing is not using the bolt off the stock risers. I ended up putting just a one way bolt directly into the risers. If you have Instagram I’ll send you a picture . It solved all my problems after doing this
The dealer was talking about your ABS system needing to be reset. Your ECU is the engine control unit, or the engine's brain. Those grips are crappy I can't believe RSD designed them that way. I would've gone with ODI lock ons, ODI rubber grips and used grip glue, or Harley grips. It's your bike and your choice, but Kuryakyn is really only good for their license plate frames. Nothing else from them is very good. Harley mirrors are by far the best as far as quality.
Yeah for sure, I’m going to be changing both soon. I flipped the mirrors upside down, but don’t like them like that either.
@@HardTail-LA upside down mirrors work on Sportsters. For larger bikes like your and certainly the touring models; they belong upright.
Yeah definitely bro. It’s not comfortable what do ever. Which mirrors do you have? My last bike I had Arlen ness ones and I loved them
Yea I didn’t need to have Harley to “Flush” the brakes you need someone to help you bleed them old style. My ST is a 2022 Pump the brake then hold while a second person cracks the bleeder with hose attached to it allows the air out. It takes a couple times but they will start spitting fluid with that being said they do have a tool that is electric. What riser bolts did you use? I bought what I would of used on my Dyna but I must be bottoming out they wont get completely rock solid tight. While counter steering with force I seem to have some play. Using those OEM exhaust looking riser studs seemed a bit jacked to me did you use anything different?
What’s up brotha, thanks for the info. I ended up throwing away the stock riser bolts. Instead of locking nut on bottom and using bolt to riser (2 way system on stock) I ended up getting a grade 5 bolt and directly bolting it from bottom straight into the riser. If you have instagram I’ll send you a picture. It solved all my problems
Your front brake issue is because or the ABS module
Yep definitely learned my lesson on this riser job
Left grip isn’t all the way on. Take switch housings off slide grip on all the way then install housings.
What’s up brotha. Yeah I know it’s not seeding in properly. If I put the cover over it , the housing doesn’t close all the way. I’m getting new grips actually. Thanks for looking out.
Why don’t you flip sides with the mirrors to have them hang under the bars? A lot of people do that look.
Yeah I’m most probably going to do that. Do you like that look better to ? Are yours flipped upside down
@@HardTail-LA I have done that to most of my other bikes. My current one I took them from being mounted to the fairing to mounting to the bars due to changing handlebars.
I was about to ask you same issue i had with my breaks lol but my Harley is 2 hrs away
Dam no way, so you flushed it properly and it still didn’t work ?
@@HardTail-LA well i went on a forum and some one said back bleed it. So pump oil from brake to reservoir and that actually worked plus my abs light turned off so instead of going up to down i went down to up and it worked. I got pressure
Interesting good to know . Thanks Johnny
You didn’t need to take it to Harley for the front brakes if you flushed out the brake line completely and make sure the lever is firm before turning on the bike. If you did turn on the bike before it was bled through completely and lever not hard yet the abs module will get air and need to be bled by a computer at harley.
Yep that’s it then ! When I plugged all the extension wires and re connected it. I turned it on to make sure it was correct before I put it in the housing. Then I connected the lines last.
So if I didn’t turn it on and waited till I connected the brake line and properly flushed it , it would have worked ?
@@HardTail-LA I did this EXACT same thing. My LRST also went to Harley because of it.
@@HardTail-LA And yes, if you had waited to turn the bike on until the brake was flushed then you wouldn't have had any issues.
@@Adible-ugh, I did the same thing. Theoretically, I’m thinking I should just bleed the brake line again. Think that’d work or is HD service a must now?
I ordered a 8.5in riser, do I need to replace my clutch cable (two piece) for a longer one. 22 lowrider s
Yea you do.I believe up to 6.5 inch riser you don’t have to( for the Lowrider ). Check out the part number I put below it extends it a few inches.
I will never use kuryakyn again, mediocre products that strip so easily
What size diameter of Handlebar Odi
Hey Kitti, I’ll go measure it for you soon and get back to you.
Thank you so much, How can I contact you. Because I have idea to install same you.
So end to end is 33 inch . Instagram if you have any questions
I mean diameter pipe
