OH poor LJG.. ha ha.. no matter.. he is a great great actor! When he cry, I bet everybody cry too. He won a lot of best actor award on this film. I love Iljimae too.. and Two Weeks, Scholar Who Walks The Night..Arang and the Magistrate...

I don't know why people are shocked that korean actors smoke. Most of them are smokers and those who are not smoking now, just quit but were smokers before. Smoking is part of Korean culture and a lot of Asian men smoke.

its' probably because of image he looks so sweet and then oh. lol
There can be two reasons for this.
For one, JG's young and pretty image and the tough look of the smoker does not match well.
The other is because at that time there was a perception that young people and old people should not smoke face-to-face. So people were amazed by his impolite attitude that he smokes right next to his grand senior, Gam Woo-sung.
(+) But these days, the number of smokers in Korea has declined, and this prejudice is gradually disappearing as the criticism of the KKONDAE culture continues.😊
I agree. I think he already stopped smoking because: (1) it's bad for his health, proven and tested, whether you are a boy or girl; and (2) it's also bad for his skin.

@@gingern3475 The king performance was great!! You can see the craziness of the king with just seeing his eyes!! I wish there were a drama adaptation, the story was great but too short for just a movie :,,c I would have liked to see the characters in a deeper way

이준기가 담배를 피우는건 그럴수있는데 대선배 감우성이 연기조언을 하는 와중에 피우고있다는게 놀랍네요
그만큼 편한 사이였던건가...
공길연기를 위해서 최대한 연인처럼 편하게 대한걸로 알아요 그래서 전스탭 배우들이 여배우처럼 생각해서 공길방엔 남자분들 출입금지 시키고 그랬다는군요 어려운 대선배님 대하듯했다면 극속에서 장생과 공길사이가 그렇게 친밀하고 애틋하게 표현되기 힘들지 않았을까요 신인배우가 비중많은 배역을맡아 혹시 주눅들어 역할에 몰입하지 못할까봐 감독님께서도 현장을 편하게 해주셨다고 들었어요 저땐 우성님이 엄청인기많고 준기님은 인지도도 없을때라 건방지다거나 그래서는 아닐거예요 현장분위기가 편해서일거고 준기님 인터뷰를보면 왕남을 찍는 동안은 우성님을 사랑하는 연인처럼 편하게 의지했었다고 하더라구요 그리고 준기님은 선배님들께 예의바른 연예인으로도 많이 알려져 있어요 조금만 찾아보시면 아실거예요

Poulomi Hari: LJG himself once said he likes his wrinkles & being in his 30s... Of course those are just fine wrinkles not aging wrinkles on his charming face (lol). Seem at that time even they were filming in daylight, I think the weather was cold & historical scene sometimes shoot in winter so may be that's why JG was smoking to keep warm. Only in photoshoot in his 20's he smoke once too & that's it because it was needed but yes, he quits smoking now.
