Some calls were a bit harsh, but some of those definitely deserved to be suspended
Don't know much about footy. In footy, is the runner allowed to hurdle the defender? If someone is jumping for the ball, are you allowed to hit his legs and flip him while he is in the air? Or do you have to wait until his feet touch the ground before you can tackle him? Could you go around behind him and hit him from behind as soon as his feet touch the ground? Are hair tackles allowed? thanks
no contact below the hips, if you tackle someone while they are in mid-air then you run a huge risk of "slamming" them or spear tackling them which are both illegal, you can tackle from behind but you must make sure you dont push in the back and you don't land on their back when tackling. hair tackles are most definetly illegal.

That Toby Greene one was absolute rubbish. Bailey Fritsch did the same thing earlier this year against north and got nothing and then Dangerfield did it last year in the Granny on Nick Vlaustin and got nothing, yet when it comes to Toby he gets suspended.
You've got to be kidding. In no universe can you make contact with an umpire and not expect to get suspended

@@kingadamw1 that’s not true because no examples show the player walking straight into the umpire. They might tap them on the arm (Lachie Neale) but none of them walk straight at the ump and bump him. Plus with Toby’s record he needs to be punished
@@archiesinfield9333 mate, first of all this comment has nothing to do with Toby Greene’s umpire bump. If you could read you’d be able to tell that. Next thing, his prior misconduct should not at all affect future penalties on him. They are supposed to have no bearing on future decisions according to the MRO review rules, but here you are saying it should. Learn the rules mate
@@kingadamw1 Oh u were talking about the high fend off my bad, I agree that was a bit harsh to be getting suspended for. I thought that was just a free kick but nothing more, maybe a fine at most. Anyways no need to get aggressive I was just stating an opinion. I personally feel that prior record should play a part in the MRO but if it is not then there is no reason why toby would get dealt with more harshly than anyone else because that would be against the rules.
